Always going to protect you

Anastasia tried to find a way to get out from that place but it all failed. Looks like this place didn't had any exit spot. So she needs to find a way to leave the place by the help of the wall where she came from. But how is she supposed to do that?

She sat on the ground and started whining for help but no one heard it. Hopefully Emily and ruby would notice that she is not with them. That way she could get out from this place.

But till that time she had to be here alone in this graveyard type place and that thing would be terrible because if she stayed here till evening then she would start to see ghosts again and she don't have enough energy to deal with their shit.

While she was gazing at the surroundings, her eyes fell on the big tree that looked like it was very ancient. It was an apple tree but the weird part was that there were no apples in it. Except the one which was still on the tree.

But the rest were all rotten and they were laying on the ground. Isn't it bizarre? If the other fruits are rotten then why is the one apple on the tree looked so fresh?

While she was staring at the tree, she heard someone's voice

"What the hell?"

Who is that? She thought that she was the only one who was here but looks like she is not.

Even though it was a good thing that she found someone who might know this place. but still, what if the person turned out to be bad. That's why it is better to play safe.

She quickly took out the pepper spray from her purse and started heading towards the person.

"Excuse me, is anyone here?" She went towards them while being extra cautious.

She didn't know who the person was because his face was looking in the other direction, but she could easily guess that it was a man.

After hearing Anastasia's voice the man becomes stunned. He quickly turned around and looked at her.

That time she could see the man's face. She don't want to sound like a pervert but the man was really good looking.

God knows why she is meeting such good-looking dudes after coming in this village.

Before it was Adrian and now, oh wait! Let's not talk about Adrian because she knows he is not a human being so why should she thirst for someone who is not a human? She is not desperate.

Well, by meeting Adrian yesterday she understood one thing, that don't judge people because of their face otherwise what if they turned out to be two faced like Adrian or whatever his real name is, then you would get in trouble.

"Who are you!? And where am I?" The man said while looking at the surroundings who was very familiar for him but he didn't wanted to believe that.

"Umm, Stafford village, in Scotland" Anastasia was very confused while answering it. Does he really not know where he is? And if that's the case then who brought him here? Did he also came here by some kind of portal or is he a supernatural creature?

"Scotland!? How is this possible? Am I really in the diamond palace?"

"Sir, can you calm down? I know it is off-topic, but I feel like I have seen you somewhere but don't know where. If you don't mind me asking but, are you a ghost, demon, angel, or some kind of species?"

The man tilted his head. "It's complicated you don't need to know that. But I have a question, why are you so casual while asking me that? Are you one too?"

Anastasia smiled because earlier Ezen also asked her the similar question too. But it is not her fault that she is not scared of any supernaturals. Is she supposed to be scared of them?

"No, I am just a sweet little innocent human being who got trapped inside this supernatural realm. But based on your answer it looks like you are the one. So tell me which species are you? I mean you look like a human to me but what is the truth?"

The guy chuckled "listen kid, I am not going to tell you that. You will be scared if I told you who I am"

Kid? She is just 22 years old and this guy didn't looked much older than her. Then why did he called her a kid?

Anastasia sighed "did you people signed some contract to not tell me anything? Is it really illegal to tell people about what species you are?"

"Yes, it is" after saying that his eyes suddenly felled on the ruby necklace Anastasia was wearing. He started to remember things of his past that he is not supposed to. "Who gave you this necklace?" His eyes were just fixed on the necklace.

Anastasia was amused when she heard it. At least some one other than her could see this thing. "You could see this necklace? My gosh, I was so scared when I saw this. Whenever this pendant shines. I felt some kind of terrible pain in my body. It is too much to bear. So please tell me if you know anything about this necklace?"

"Soul bounding ritual," he said while thinking about something in his head. "How did he escaped from the forbidden forest!?"

"Huh?"

"Nothing" he smiled and showed her that nothing happened but deep inside he was very anxious. Why did Ezen bounded his soul with this girl? It can't be without any reason.

He definitely has some hidden motives. But whenever he looked at Anastasia he had a feeling that he knows her.

"You have two souls," the man asked while looking straight into her spirit.

What is he talking about? She thought but then she remembered that he is talking about Mimi.

(Having two souls means having a deceased ancestors spirit inside your body so they could protect you from any harm.)

"Yeah I do, but doesn't everyone has one?" She was dazed because Mimi told her that everyone had two souls inside them. Did she lied about it?

"You are right, everyone has two souls but not everyone could talk to them. Unlike you."

"Uggh, now I understand. But good for others because talking with your other soul is really a pain in the ass. Not everyone is like that but Mimi is exceptional."

Anastasia nodded in response. "Yes, she did. But what is wrong with that name? Why are you so shocked?"

"Who are you?" He was genuinely curious because he can't get away with the feeling of knowing her.

"I would have told you my name but grandma told me that I should not give any information about myself to a stranger."

"Is your grandma by chance be Isabelle Perkins?"

Anastasia was very scared when she heard him guess Isabelle's name correctly. "Yeah, she is"

The man closed his eyes tightly like he was disappointed about something. "So it is you? Why are you here? I thought you were in London. You don't know how dangerous this place is. This village is not safe for you especially when you are leaving near" his mood changed quickly "wait a

minute, did you by chance went inside the forbidden forest? Did you opened the underground door?"

Anastasia didn't knew how to respond to that question. Looks like this person knows everything about her but the shocking thing is How did he found out about her going in the forbidden forest? Is he working with a cop?

"Listen sir, I think i should leave. My sister might be looking for me." After saying that Anastasia wanted to leave from that place so badly but she was stopped by that man.

"Anastasia if you don't want to answer my questions then just say it. I am not going to force you to answer it."

"I don't remember telling you my name. How did you know everything about me?"

"Because I am your guardian angel"

Anastasia started to laugh at him like he said some joke. He should start a standup comedy. "We both know that guardian angels doesn't exist. So how about you tell me the truth? What do you want from me?" She don't trust anyone now after what happened before, Cause everyone in this world are selfish.

"You think I am joking!?"

"Of course you are, otherwise why did you not recognized me in the first sight? And if the thing you are saying is true then why didn't you came to save me when I got in trouble so many times before? I didn't saw you there." She said in an accusing tone. "But anyway, I already have Mimi and i think she will take care of me. So you don't need to worry about me anymore"

The man just looked like he was really truly ashamed for not being there for her. "I know, I should have been there for you but I am not going to do that mistake again. After so many years I got teleported back in this village and I know that there is a big reason behind it. So I promise you Anastasia, I am always going to protect you."

"Wait! You were really serious about that? I thought you were joking. But I believe you, So tell me, Can you fly? do you have any wings? Are you really an angel?" She was very excited while speaking because it was her first time meeting an actual Angel.

"Kind of, but I don't have any wings."

That answer disappointed her. "But how is it possible? I heard that angels are supposed to have wings. It is like their's signature style."

"Of course, they do have wings, but they disappear after coming on earth because just imagine when you look up in the sky and saw a person with wings flying around. Wouldn't that be weird?"

"I mean, yes that would" Anastasia made a cranky face. "But mostly I would be jealous of them. I also want to fly like birds but that is impossible." She kept staring at the sky while pouting, but unknowingly her eyes fell on the apple tree from before. "Uggh, I don't know why this tree confuses me so much? This tree might be here for so many years but still, I don't understand why is that one fresh apple still on there while the others are rotten?"

The man smiled "Ever heard a story about Adam and Eve?"

Adam and Eve? I think everyone knows about their story.

Anastasia raised her eyebrows "Yes, but what does that story have to do with this tree?"

(Full story short, Adam was the first human being on earth and Eve was made from Adam's rib so he could not feel lonely anymore. But one day Eve disobeyed God and partook the fruit of a particular tree that God had forbidden them to eat of. That's why they were banished from the garden of Eden.)

"So what did you learned from that story?"

Anastasia didn't had any answer for that. What is she supposed to say? "Maybe, the story was trying to say that you should not disobey god. I don't know, I haven't really thought about it."

"Wrong answer, the story was trying to tell you that you should stay away from things that you are warned to not do. But still, we human beings are so attracted by the Mystery that we couldn't handle our curiosity and becomes rebellious. And I am guilty charge for it." He said while thinking about something but Anastasia couldn't figure out what it is.

"I am little perplexed. Are you angel or a human? And why are you telling me this story? Is this some kind of hint?"

"Yes it is, I am trying to say that you should have not gone into the forbidden area. What would have you done if something happened to you? So please keep your curiosity to yourself. I don't want you to end up like me."

"Like you? Why? What did you do? And what is the connection between this tree and the story of Adam and Eve? I have so many questions. Please answer me."

"I will tell you this some other time but for that to happen please leave now." He said while swiping his hand on the wall and that thing made the door on the wall open. This place was a secret room which was connected with the painting room.

"Please" he bowed his head while showing her the way. It felt like she was in 1600.

Do guys still do this? I thought chivalry was dead.

She entered back into the painting room but she couldn't hold herself from asking a question "Can you please tell me your name? I feel like I have seen you somewhere" but before she could complete her words the secret door got closed again. Looks like he didn't heard her or maybe he was just avoiding her question.

"Where have I seen him?" She bitted her lip and started to think, but that time she remembered. She glanced at the portrait of Victor Dalton and was stunned.
