Chapter 24: Gas

Riding on the police mobile the three dive to the scene.

" is there a way to track the caster using that bug"

the officer ask pointing at the bug inside the glass container.

" I'm sure the cursemancer was using a some kind of radio frequency to give orders to this bugs but I unfortunately even if we tap into that frequency ,we can't track it down."

explained the professor

" So ,how are we going to them?"

" How would I know ? That your your job !"

said the professor with a mocking tone

The officer just smiled awkwardly.

After a few minutes of driving , they have arrived at the forensic center.

Police mobile line across at the entrance of the building. There people running out of the building in panic. The lights from the police mobiles and ambulances are creating a scene of chaos as more and more people run out the buildings

The officer walk up to a group of police near the entrance.

" What's the situation?"

asked him

"not good sir, we have executed your order and started to fire at their head but"

" but?"

" The creatures seems to understand our intention, they are dodging the gun shots now!"

" What!? "

The officer was shock to he then look towards the professor in which are now walking to their position.

" Professor , can those insect do that!?"

" Do what ?"

" The creature inside are now dodging are shots , after I ordered them to ai for the head!"

" He ~ That interesting."

"Huh?"

The professor look at him meaningfully

" Those insect cannot think of a strategy like that , they have no enough thinking power to understand guns , which means-"

he paused and look around and then continued

" Which means , the cursemancer is manipulating the creatures "

" What ? but how can they know that we are now aiming for the -"

a sudden realization struck him he turn around with a serious expression

" Call for back up , lock down the all the area within the 100 meters radius, do a blanket search around the perimeter, the person who created those monsters should be around here."

he gave the orders

the police officers expression turn serious and immediately move.

In a few minutes more police were dispatch.

They search for anyone who look suspicious and detain them but the creatures still rampage inside the building.

" Where is that f*cking rat , he should not be able to hide that well!"

the elder officer are now boiling in anger as more minutes pass ,more and more of his men and civilians are dying inside the building.

with his hand on his chin the professor then asked Marissa to retrieve the bug inside the car.

He then raised it and observe it intently. The bug is now flying around the container in a irregular fashion. He slowly turn and observe the bug, with he then saw that the bug seem to focus on a certain direction in which it struggled to get out.

The professor then walk forward on that direction.

Seeing this, Marissa followed suit.

The officer saw the two walking while the professor observe the bug, he understood something. He then called a few of his men and followed the two.

A few minutes of walking brought them in the back of the building.

Seeing this the police officers pulled out their guns and continued.

The bug inside the container have been increasingly being more violent in it's flying .

seeing this the group was brought in front of a room that is used for garbage storage and disposal.

The professor then stop and looked at the police officers. They understood the assignment and two of them walk forward and one of them hold the door knob while the other aim his gun.

With a twist the door was opened ,the police officers move simultaneously but they then face with sudden horror.

" GET DOWN!!"

Shout the elder officer as a dark cloud of countless bug flew out the door.
