The rescue

Because of their exceptional skills, one men from A1's team can fight 10 men at the same time. So, they were not really afraid. Moreover, Al-Qaeda clearly didn't expect the attack. Therefore, they wouldn't have the time to kill the hostages. Moreover, they didn't know that A1's team's Chinese soldiers.

I8 saw a hand stretched out. It was long and slender. Even among the dust and gunpowder, he could still see the milky white and delicate skin of her long and slender fingers. It was A1's. It looked like it never did any heavy things but it was somewhat strong and firm.

His eardrums were hurting. The entire wall was ridden with bullet holes. If it weren't for a grenade that he had thrown that killed six people and stunned the rest, he might have one through his body.

"I almost though that I would lose my precious life. How is this a hundred? I've cleared more than ten myself." I8 said. A1 and M7 watched in amusement as he let out a string of curses. It was annoying to get the wrong intel but he had to contain his rage.

"At least three hundred of them. This is not an ordinary base but a base for all the Al-Qaeda members in the city." M7 analysed the situation. A1 simply kept quiet and followed I8's lead while he was leading them somewhere.

"The intel is wrong. The Pakistan President will be super nervous now." A1 told them both.

"I found out the hostages' location. Eleven o'clock direction from my position. 11 hundred meters away." I8 informed all of them through the ear piece. He also sent his position to them so that they can figure out the direction they had to go.

It was fortunate that A1's team were special forces who had been through things worse than this. Besides a few injuries on their bodies, there was nothing else.

Everyone grouped up ten minute later and A1 pointed to the south, where there had been no movement. "Contact the government forces using the satellite phone. This will be our key attack point. We will stay no more than 15 minutes here. Let's save the hostages and retreat."

If they stayed on when the government forces rush in, they would be fighting amongst themselves.

U6 was responsible for communication. After contacting the Commander-in-chief aka Military chief, three people suppressed the firepower while two assaulted and two advanced forward, starting their arrow formation.

Disperse, fight, group up, suppress, calm reports... In the heavy firepower, the team, headed towards the hostages' location like an arrow.

After killing the machine gunner, G3 drooled over when he saw there were still many bullets left in the machine gun nest.

"Don't think about having the machine gun. Take the sub machine gun." Z, who was suppressing the enemy's firepower, shouted at him, "A firefight is about to happen in the west. Stop daydreaming, brother!"

G3 sighed and said, "The well-fed doesn't understand the sufferings of those who starved." Z was provoked and gave G3 a kick.

The whole battlefield was bloody and they had to step over dead bodies. They had to go on even if they stepped on them.

The Al-Qaeda members were all concentrated in the firefight at the south and there were no movements in the cottage that A1 had marked. They entered the cottage in two groups. Under the cover of A1 and under the cover of M7. They threw a flash bang into the dark house.

While the entire house was blinded by the light, they saw three people in camouflage uniforms just like them. They were Chinese. They were tied to the chair. They were also pretty bruised up.

Victory was on their sight. While A1 and M7 was protecting them in the dark, the rest quickly killed all the Al-Qaeda members and untied the soldiers. The soldiers, as soon as they got untied, attempted to kill themselves. They would rather die than let themselves in their enemy's hands. Once someone rescued them, they will directly assume that they are held by another rival and that self-destruction is the only way out of this.

"Stop. We are Team Alpha or you can call us by the name Slayers. I am General Xia. Introductions later. Any questions?" A1 said will a gentle but authoritative voice.

"Can you prove your identity?" A1 appreciated the question but it also annoyed her that she had to answer it at this crucial moment. She took out her military identity card out and showed it to them. They went silent after seeing her identity since she was an existence in the military that they all look up to.

"Z, G3 and U6. Help them. We'll guard you." After issuing the orders, A1 along with the rest three formed a protective barrier around the six. A1 also did not forget to give the three Chinese soldiers a gun each.

Soon all of them saw a truck. V9, who was leading in the front for now, went over to check the fuel. "It's full of fuel. Let's drive out."

V9 took the driver seat with I8 on passenger seat. The rest went to the back.

At the moment, all the fire power are concentrated in the west. Although there were still some stray bullets on their way, but it was still considered as a breeze for team Alpha. I8 protected V9 by killing anyone on their way. While the rest of the soldiers killed anyone I8 missed and protecting themselves from stray bullets.

The truck was a way of transport for the Al-Qaeda members to go in and out. So it was bullet proof. But clearly the windshield was not bulletproof. It shattered when they were exiting the battlefield.

When the car stopped over for a change of driver in a nearby garage, bullet rained over their area. "What the heck?" V9 exclaimed while trying to protect himself.

The bullets were all blindly fired without contemplating how much ammunition they had used. Just by listening, they could tell that they were untrained.

Z carried his rifle on his back, and under the cover of his comrades, he stepped on M7's hands that were folded on his knees. With the help of M7's strength, he got on the roof of the garage. The truck couldn't get out with all the bullets raining on it. He had to get rid of the Al-Qaeda members who were wasting bullets.

The distance was very close and with his night-vision goggles, Z saw two soldiers from the government forces being suppressed at the corner of the wall by the enemy's firepower. They couldn't even pop out their heads. The bullets were hitting the wall like rain, spewing dust everywhere.

"There are two Pakistani government forces soldiers. I am pretty sure that the one on the ground is dead. The bullets are from the house at ten o'clock from my position. At least two of them." Z didn't immediately take action. After reconnaissance, he whispered into the earpiece, "Requesting for a sniper."

He didn't get down, but he requested for a sniper in the earpiece. A1 was the sniper, and she is the only one who could go up.

A1 leaped over the truck. G3 who was in-charge of alert immediately cautioned her to be more careful. A1 simply smiled and went over with her sniper rifle.

The light from the West illuminated the area. With the help of Z, A1 was propelled up the roof of the garage and glanced at the village that was already in ruins. The windows were cracked, and who knew if there will still surviving members of Al-Qaeda group that were hiding there.

"Ten o'clock, there are at least two targets. There's a wide view of vision, suitable for sniping." A1 spoke cautiously and observed the surroundings. "Twenty centimeters to the left, that's the best sniper position."

A1 began to set up her sniper rifle and aimed at the ten o'clock direction. After accurately measuring the range, the bullet trajectory's deviation from the wind and rifle's power, A1 pulled the trigger confidently after she felt that there was a 99.9% chance of hitting her target. As a world class sniper, the possibility of winning should always be above 90 or else you are just a normal sniper. Whoever she had sniped, had never been alive.

The bullet left the barrel and hit the target with precision and accuracy, following the trajectory she had mapped out. It hit the target after travelling for about 2 seconds. It felt as one could hear the sound of bullet travelling, penetrating through the skull and then get embedded into the wall next to him.

The other member was still in shock after witnessing the death and he stopped shooting for 5 seconds. A1 quickly changed her direction slightly to the left and fired. It hit the other member as well.

The suppressed Pakistani government forces soldiers soon realised that the Al-Qaeda members had encountered a sniper and had thought that the sniper was one of their own. After hearing that the bullets had stopped firing, they carefully fired their rifles in front, before advancing from the corner of the wall.

Until now, they didn't know that the sniper was not sent by their government but by the Chinese.
