Dinner

By the time the siblings completed the load of work, it was already 7 pm. Tiredness and fatigue already started to show its effect on Xia Liena. She has been working hard without or barely having the time to rest. And even now, she did not rest but instead made her way to the office after picking up her brother from the university. Afterall, in the end, she is still a human who luckily got a chance to change her life by avoiding all her mistakes in her past life. The term 'human' made it possible for her to feel the emotions such as fatigue.

Liena was not oblivious to the fragility of her body. It's just that she forgot the tiredness because of the excitement that she imagined after meeting her brothers. And she also wanted to change the root of the mistakes to avoid the upcoming hassle. The key reason for her to go to the company was because, Liena remembered that in her past life, her company went through a hard time because of a project that is designed to kill her company. So, Liena just wanted to avoid signing the project.

The sky was orange in colour when they set off from the company. Unlike the earlier quiet streets, the street was now filled with lines of cars with hones blaring here and there. And the street was covered with tawny pollution from the car emissions. All the men and women were returning home from work to have a long rest after a long efficient day. So, it was the rush hour of the day.

The thirty minutes ride to her home instantly became a nearly one hour ride as they waited behind lines of cars in many signals. Despite this, Liena patiently rode her car to her home to face the trouble brewing in home only to be met with a Bentley car parking itself inside their car park at the same time as Liena which she instantly recognised as her eldest brother's car.

Getting off the car, Liena greeted the wide eyed brother and his assistant standing motionless like they have just witnessed a ghost roaming around.

"Hi brother Sheng. Hi assistant Xiao." The two men looked at each other in question as if asking 'are you seeing the same thing as I do?'. Seeing their wonderful reaction, Xion and Gabriel cracked up instantly and roared with laughter while Liena was left speechless.

"Earth to you guys." She waved her hands in front of them to wake them up from their stupor. As expected, they woke up from their stupor and blinked their eyes to make sure that the sight in front of them is not an illusion.

"You're back? And why are you with that idiots?" Her brother asked in astonishment but there was also a hint of jealousy in his tone as he saw her being accompanied by two brothers which Liena failed to notice as she was too focused on catching his facial expressions.

"Mmm. I am back. When I got home, Xion was here. So I took him and went to pick Gabriel from University. Then we went to Glory world because some lazy idiot avoided going to the company for six freaking days." She said as she eyed her brother who looked down at his feet guiltily.

"When are you going back?" Jinsheng asked his sister, again mentally preparing for the worst like all her family members.

"Not anytime soon. Decided to stay and spend time with my family." Liena dropped a huge bomb weighing hundreds of tons on his head just like that causing Jinsheng to go through another round of 'gaping at the ghost'.

"Shall we go inside? I am hungry." A very annoyed Gabriel said as he pulled his sister towards the main mansion. The rest of them naturally followed them. Including the assistant.

Even though he was an assistant, he was treated like he was a part of the family. The Xiao family might not be a prominent family but they are still rich people who had their own company to take care of. Like Qu Chengzhi, he was also a brilliant businessman being hunted by many people. But he decided to stay with Jinsheng because they were best friends and also because he's very loyal towards the Xia family.

Liena and her brothers parted ways on the west wing as they went to their respective rooms to freshen up before going to dinner. Xia Liena freshened up and changed into a beautiful blue knee length floral dress that flowed with the rhythm of them wind. The dark blue colour highlighted her milky white jade skin, increasing her peerless beauty. The knee length made her tall legs look even more longer than ever. Her blue green eyes were shining in anticipation as she looked forward to crush the hopes of two women in her house as they sit with them at the dining room. Overall, she looked like a deity as she made her way to the common hall/room of the west wing where the siblings are supposed to hang out and rest together.

Moments later, her four brothers made their way to the common lounge, dressing similarly. All of them were wearing black skinny ripped jeans, making their already long legs seems even more longer and attractive. The twins were also, coincidentally, wearing blue t-shirts while her other two brothers were wearing black and white mixed t-shirts. They all also look very similar to each other both in looks and the way they dress, making the onlookers drool over them.

The brothers who just came to the lounge was surprised to see their sister who hates wearing dresses, wearing a beautiful blue dress and waiting for them. Seeing her looking so beautiful, their jaws dropped but also it woke up the protective monster in them with a mere thought of someone falling for their sister's looks. At this time, they so wished to keep their sister hidden with them forever so that no men will dare to lay their filthy hands on her.

(Whoever is her future husband is, then his hands will immediately be named as filthy according to her brothers.)

At this thought, a certain man who was in the middle of a conference sneezed lightly as he mentally vowed to give a hard time to that person for disturbing him.... if he ever found out who it is.

The brothers also felt the warmth creeping into them as they witnessed their sister waiting for them which had never happened before. All they could now think of was to cherish it before they lose it again.

"Shall we go? As a clan leader, I am supposed to go there early to give my speech." The brothers nodded and made their way to the main mansion's dining room. The Xia family have their dinner at the main mansion because that is the only time the whole family get together. As for breakfast and lunch, they have it in their offices or work.

As they approached the dining room, Liena saw her grandfather sitting at the main seat, demanding respect but also flirting with his wife shamelessly as she sat on the left of him. Her parents were also sitting on the right hand side of her grandfather, dropping their jaws to the floor after seeing their children together making a great entrance. Also sitting stiffly and staring at Liena, seeing her coming with their sons.

Despite all this, there were even more shocked duo who was sitting on the far end of the left side of the table, with their eyes wide open. Fury erupted within Liena as she saw these two familiar faces but she managed to keep a calm façade but was it a easy thing to do? No!

Those two individuals were namely Meng Xingran and Meng Xiuran.
