Chapter 8: System’s tutorial (part 2)

[This system aims to help you fulfill your dreams and ambitions. For each of your dreams, the system will assign you a mission. You will be one step closer to your goal by completing it, and the system will reward you.]

Just by thinking about viewing the Dream Missions tabs, the screen changed immediately. There were numerous sections, each corresponding to one of my goals.

After reading the first mission, I raised an eyebrow and asked.

"What is this goofy mission description?"

[Come on, don't spoil my fun. Being a guide, I can not do anything but talk to you. Let me make jokes, at least.]

I couldn't help but chuckle. I had a feeling she was pouting.

"OK, don't be angry. I was just asking. But This one is basically a freebie."

[That's true, but I doubt the next ones will be so easy. This dream is the most difficult to fulfill, after all.]

I nodded in agreement before checking the next one.

Description: Have at least 20 points in each stat before starting to cultivate your Aura and Mana.

"What is the Gods Repository?" I never heard about that."

My imagination flared after hearing that. I was fantasizing about what kind of fantastic techniques I would find inside. After snapping out of my reveries, I checked the next mission.

First mission: Establish a company.

Description: Just like she said 😘.

Difficulty: E

Rewards: Ownership of one office building in the city of your choice. 100 shop coins.

After reading the last line of the mission description, I couldn't help myself but become frustrated.

"It seems I can't cheese those missions."

Mimi's severe retort caught me off guard. After thinking about it, I had to agree. If I don't have to make any effort, rewards and accomplishments have no meaning.

"Sorry, I got carried away."

Ignoring Mimi, I turned my attention to the last mission. That one was weird because the text was in red, not white.

Reading this, my mind was screaming like a certain space dark Lord.

"Mimi, there is a bug with the last mission."

[It's not a bug, you pervert. The system blocked it because you are too young.]

While I understood why the system locked it, I couldn't help but be disappointed.

[Why are you in such a hurry? Since you will become a cultivator, you have all the time you need to do it.]

« Well, like you said, I am a pervert.»

I tried to avoid the question by joking, but unfortunately, it didn't work.

As she tore through my facade, I found myself feeling vulnerable. Unable to give my feelings anymore, I snapped.

As I drifted into sleep. I Could not hear the voice full of tears that resonated in my head.
