Lucien Lupine placed his arms on both of her head's sides, caging her—completely at his mercy. "How am I even alive? I felt my heart shatter when your palm touched my back." He leaned closer, their lips barely touching before he continued. "And now here we are… in my room and both completely naked. Is this my last wish praying tricks with me? Am I really dead and this is not real but a figment of my imagination?"
Sue Terin could completely understand Lucien's predicaments. The last he remembered was dying in that shattered arena with a literally broken heart yet the next thing he knew was he was inside his version of a dream.
The corners of her lips tugged up. She caressed his silky yet messy red hair that was sprawled on his bed. "Silly. Before you drew your last breath, I activated the domain for healing you. When they transported your body, I healed you back. I just need to kill you to end that forsaken death rite."
