Escaping The Tower
Sue Terin had woken up sweating like a pig.
Clutching the seams of her blanket as if her life depended on it, the zaps of lightning bolts illuminated the dark room from time to time. The glass windows shook every strike of the lightning bolts to the starless night sky.
It had been a week since she would wake up like this. It had also been a week since Heidi told her that he would think things through.
She did not know what sort of thinking he was doing, but she was sure he was taking his time.
Sighing, she knew that she did give him a chance to ponder things through. Sadly, they did not have the time of the world.
Sue Terin stared at the door. It was as if staring would deliver the person she wanted to see. But like any other night, he would never arrive. This time, unlike any other night, Sue Terin did not hug herself to sleep like she did ever since she learned about her pregnancy.
