Reborn in Valyria: King of Dragons

Jay, a simple grocery store owner son, who tragically passed away due to sleeping with his laptop, which overheated and caused the battery to explode. However, he awoke in a mysterious realm of darkness and met an entity named Chaos. After a brief exchange, Jay was granted three wishes. He chose to be born into the world of "A Song of Ice and Fire" and gained partial powers akin to Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, though using them came at the cost of his life force. Jay found himself reborn as an infant in a Valyrian family with striking features distinct from Valyrian. Confusion and heated arguments filled his new surroundings. He was later taken outside, discovering he was in Old Valyria, a land of dragons and towering buildings. The father summoned a dragon and engulfed Jay in flames, but instead of harm, Jay felt an unusual sensation and remained unscathed. The family was bewildered by Jay's unique appearance, with black hair and red eyes, unlike the Valyrians. Jay drifted into slumber, leaving many unanswered questions in this unfamiliar world.

Chapter 17:"Trail by Dragon."

With little else to do, Vahaemorys decided to make his way back to the castle, accompanied by Drakaroth, Typharon, and Vaeloria. As they returned to the main cave, Vahaemorys  was greeted by the majestic presence of elder Valyrian dragons. These magnificent creatures ranged in size from 150 to 400 meters, numbering over a hundred. Now, free from their fear of light, the cave was aglow with magical flames hovering in the air.

Two colossal elder dragons, each measuring about 300 meters in length, stepped forward and bowed their heads in reverence. The others remained in their positions. Terramor spoke, "My king, these are the ones who volunteered to accompany you."

Vahaemorys  considered for a moment and replied, "Not for now. Taking them with me would make it harder to know my enemies. When the time comes, I will summon them, not just these two, but all of them. Also, no elder dragons from this cave are permitted to bond with humans without my explicit permission."

With that, Vahaemorys turned to Drakaroth, Typharon, and Vaeloria, saying, "Let's depart." As the other true dragons remained bowed, Vahaemorys  , along with the three companions, left the cave and made their way back to Valyria.

As Vahaemorys and true dragons were making their way back, Vaeloria began to offer Vahaemorys some hints about what had transpired with the Valyrians during the Dragon King ritual. When they arrived at his mother's study room, Vahaemorys  asked the true dragons to wait outside. However, what he encountered inside was far from his expectations.

Inside the room, there was a decapitated body that resembled a herald, and the head lay on the floor in front of it. Vahaemorys  was taken aback and called out to his mother, who was calmly sipping wine as if nothing unusual had happened. He inquired, "Mother?" Her response was surprisingly nonchalant, as she said, "Pay it no mind, my child. Someone wished to extend their goodwill, and I had to express my gratitude by sending back the head of their herald."

After inspecting the body, Vahaemorys approached his mother and earnestly requested, "Mother, I need my father's seal." She studied Jay with a mixture of curiosity and concern, asking, "Why?" Vahaemorys  replied with determination, "To secure our position in Valyria."

With a touch of resignation in her expression, she gently explained, "You're not yet an adult, my child. And we've lost our power since your father's passing. We're no longer ruling dragon lords, just like any other dragon lord."

Vahaemorys, undeterred, asserted, "There are other ways to do it." She pondered for a moment, asking, "Trial by sword?" Vahaemorys  shook his head, replying, "No, Trial by dragon. And I'll be the one participating."

Her voice tinged with concern, she protested, "No, you can't. I won't allow it. You'd be facing not just any knight or fledgling dragon, but an experienced warrior. You'd be up against a seasoned veteran of war. You're forgetting that you're just a kid."

Vahaemorys's eyes gleamed with determination as he stated, "No, Mother, I'm not forgetting. But you're forgetting that I'm a Narnareon, a dragon. I'm not just a kid." With a tender embrace, she held Jay close and whispered, "My child, I don't want to lose you too." Jay met her gaze, firm and resolute, and said, "You won't lose me, Mother. And I won't lose either."

After securing his father's seal, Vahaemorys  exited his mother's study. The true dragons gathered around him, and Drakaroth spoke up, "My king, may I participate in the trial by becoming your dragon partner? I can take on a lesser dragon form." Jay considered this for a moment and then replied, "No need, I have Igneel."

A dragonkeeper rushed to Vahaemorys  and urgently reported, "My lord, Igneel is behaving strangely. We're unsure of what to do. We can't approach him due to the intense heat he's emitting."

Vahaemorys looked concerned and quickly headed towards Igneel's cave, with the true dragons following closely behind. Inside the cave, the other dragons acknowledged Vahaemorys's presence by bowing their heads, leaving the dragonkeepers bewildered. Vahaemorys approached Igneel and sensed a significant fluctuation in mana around him.

Drakaroth explained, "My king, he is undergoing a transformation. He's becoming a true dragon." This news filled the true dragons with joy, as they were gaining one of their own. Vahaemorys was astonished to witness Igneel inheriting draconic power and knowledge, even though Igneel remained unconscious.

Vahaemorys then turned to Drakaroth and asked, "Drakaroth, can you take on Igneel's appearance?" Drakaroth nodded, replying, "Yes, my King."

Vahaemorys continued, "Very well, when I summon you, appear near me in the form of Igneel." Before leaving for Valyria's main tower, Vahaemorys instructed Typharon to guard Igneel during the transformation and Vaeloria to accompany him.
