The Demon in the Temple

After a long journey, Tanjiro and Tekeo arrived at a lonely mountain, and from an Old signboard, they figured it was Mount Sagiri. From afar, they saw an old, abandoned temple that seemed to whisper stories of the past. The temple, though broken and worn out, promised a roof over their heads for the night. As they got closer, Tekeo felt a strange sense of déjà vu, like he had forgotten something important. Unable to remember, they decided to rest there anyway.

Inside the temple, they set down their belongings and rolled out their sleeping mats. Starting a fire proved harder than expected, but Tanjiro finally managed to get one going after a lot of difficulty due to the cold. The crackling flames brought warmth and a bit of comfort to the two brothers. Nezuko, still asleep in her basket, was safe as the brothers chatted quietly, trying to ease the tension of their adventure.

Suddenly, the fire dimmed, and the door creaked open. Tekeo's heart skipped a beat as a forgotten memory rushed back. He remembered that in the manga, Tanjiro had once been attacked by a demon on the mountain before his training with urokodaki had begun. Tekeo quickly grabbed an axe, his muscles tensing as a terrifying demon stepped into the temple, snuffing out the fire with a single blow.

The demon's eyes gleamed with hunger as it lunged at them, its long claws reaching out. Tanjiro and Tekeo dodged just in time. Tekeo swung the axe, hitting the demon's shoulder, but it barely hurt the monster. The demon tackled Tekeo to the ground, and he struggled to keep it away with his legs. Just as the demon got closer, Tanjiro struck it on the head with a piece of log, distracting it enough for Tekeo to escape.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Tekeo slashed the demon's legs with the axe, making it fall. Tanjiro pinned it down while Tekeo chopped off its left arm in one motion. But before he could finish the job by cutting its head, the demon regenerated its legs and ran out of the temple. Tekeo and Tanjiro chased after it, with Tekeo throwing his axe at the demon, though it missed and got stuck in a tree. Tanjiro grabbed the axe and immediately decapitated the demon.

They both took a moment to catch their breath, smiling in victory of taking out a demon. But their relief was short-lived as the demon's head sprouted hands closed the wound and began to crawl away. Shocked, they ran after it. As they did, Tekeo saw a flash of blue out of the corner of his eye. It was Urokodaki, the mentor Giyu had described. Tekeo realized urokodaki was trying to test us and most likely would step in if it got dangerous so he sped up and slashed at the demon's head again, but it wasn't deep enough. He yelled for Tanjiro to kick the head into the air. Tanjiro did as he was told, and Tekeo threw the axe, the axe went spinning towards the demon pinning the head to a tree high above.

They watched the demon scream in pain but ignored it and went back to the temple, sitting down near their sister, they were exhausted but also relieved. Just then, a man wearing a blue haori and a red tengu mask appeared before them. Tanjiro recognized him from Giyu's description: Sakonji Urokodaki. Tekeo pretended to just realize who he was.

Urokodaki introduced himself and was surprised by their tactics. Standing before Tanjiro, he asked, "What will you do if your sister eats a human?" Tanjiro hesitated, and in a swift motion, Urokodaki slapped him. "You are too indecisive," he said. "Your inability to make quick decisions can cost you your life. Do you know why you couldn't answer my question? Your resolve to help your sister is too weak. There is only one answer to that question- If she ever harms a human, you must kill her and then yourself. That is the price of protecting a demon while being a demon slayer."

Turning to Tekeo, Urokodaki asked, "Why did you tell your brother to kick the demon's head into the air?" Tekeo explained "It was because the demon could regenerate its body and even cutting its head didn't kill it so He planned to lock it down to the tree so that it couldn't move and it gave me enough time to think of a countermeasure ", but Urokodaki criticized his lack of foresight. "What if you had missed? What if the demon had escaped or attacked you while you were unarmed?" Tekeo stood silently, acknowledging his master's wisdom. Urokodaki reminded him that they both lacked the ability to think quickly and that their foresight was too narrow-minded.

Urokodaki then revealed that Giyu told him beforehand that he had sent them and that he wanted urokodaki to train them both, he was impressed by their potential and agreed to train them. "Although you both lack much, I can help you fix yourselves," he said. He quickly led them towards his home, where Tanjiro told everything that had occurred to them during their journey. Urokodaki listened intently and figured out everything that had happened. As they reached a small hut near the foot of the mountain, he instructed them to freshen up and be ready at dawn. "Sleep well for the night as from tomorrow onwards your training with me starts, and let me remind you It won't be easy" he left With Nezuko's basket in hand.

Tanjiro and Tekeo, finally feeling some relief after all that had happened to them, Tanjiro quickly fell asleep while Tekeo lay wide awake, sweating buckets. He knew how tough training under Urokodaki would be. Back on Earth, Tekeo had never trained physically or even considered improving his physical strength. His world had been all about codes and typing faster. Now, he had to do something straight out of an anime protagonist's story he had to learn swordsmanship and everything that most humans prefer to not even dream of.

As the clock ticked past midnight, the weight of his thoughts and the exhaustion from the day's events finally took over. Gradually, his eyes grew heavy, and he drifted into a deep sleep, completely unaware of what his future holds and what twists god has planned for him.
