Chapter 12

I stayed there reading through the pages for 2 hours before closing it. Stretching a bit I couldn't help but notice the guild hall was more noisy and busier than before. I wanted to ask the cat girl attendant that spoke to me earlier some questions , but she looked busy so I opened the book once more to continue my search. I decided to look at only goddesses because of my preferences.

Looking through the list 3 goddess names caught my attention, Bahamut, Tiamat and Leto.

I couldn't help but be shocked as Bahamut was a male fictional god in the draconic pantheon of DnD, while Tiamat was said to be the primordial goddess of dragons. Leto on the other hand was the mother of Artemis and Apollo, well that was according to my old world history. But these names were never mentioned in the Danmachi series or even the novels so I was perplexed.

Thinking about their nature, well according to what I knew from my old world history, Leto would have the best personality. But I couldn't help but think of the other two dragon goddesses, though Bahamut is supposed to be male according to my memories. He was a she in this world, making me think my bias based on my old knowledge could hinder my decisions. So I got up and walked toward the now free cat girl to ask about the goddesses and return the book because the rest didn't catch my eyes.

"Hey it me uhm, I didn't ask your name" I couldn't help but awkwardly chuckle as I asked her.

" Ah yes, come to think of it I didn't say my name. You can call me Shizu, and nice to meet you again Draco" she said while playfully smiling.

'Is she flirting with me. No Draco calm down, maybe your overthinking it' I couldn't help but think after her introduction.

"Ah, yes nice to meet you too Shizu, I wanted to ask about these three goddesses" I said, trying to keep a poker face, before realizing I still had my cloak on and she couldn't really see my expression.

"Tiamat, Leto and Bahamut, do you know anything about them" I asked.

"Give me a few minutes will check for you" she replied as she left the booth to search for something.

I waited a few minutes, with hope that I would find a goddesses that met my requirements on the first day of searching.

She came back with a few pieces of paper and read it out to me.

"Hmm for the goddesses Tiamat, there isn't much information on her she was last seen in Orario about 30 years ago. So I guess you can't join her familia as she isn't in the city anymore" she said, but I still hoped at least one was still in the city.

"For Leto, I don't have much information. Our records show she was chased out of Orario by Hera years ago, but maybe she will come back with the Hera familia gone" she said, but I couldn't help but tense up and cross my fingers hoping for the last one.

"As for Bahamut, she came to Orario two years ago and hasn't made a familia yet. Oh there's more she said that she was waiting for someone, but she never said who" Shizu said, which gave me hope, now all I needed to know was her personality.

'Could it be she is waiting for me' I thought, because everything felt weird.

"Do you know anything else about Bahamut, like her personality and where she lives" I asked in an exited tone as things seemed to be working out for me. 'I think Bahamut might be connected to me' I couldn't help but think. Even though I knew that I was reincarnated, I had to be born from someone and not mysteriously appear put of nowhere. I had no memory of anything before the sight of my basket and my current parents.

"She currently resides at the southwest region, close to amor square. Hmm, come to think of it she looks like a dragon Demi human, maybe your connected to her. That's all we have on her. Anyway I will write the address down at least where she was last known to stay" Shizu said as she scribbled on a piece of paper. But she didn't answer my most important question, about Bahamut personality. Well I can't blame her, there are probably thousands of gods and the guild is understaffed. I will have to go there and see for myself.

"Thank you this helps a lot, maybe we can grab a bit sometime when you are free" I said, while taking the paper.

"Hahahaha, say that when your older brat" she replied, as she laughed it off. I mean I can't blame her, I was 14 while she seemed to be a few years older.

"Don't worry I will be an adult by next year" I replied, with a smug smile.

Being 15 years meant you were classified as an adult in this world, so my claims weren't unfounded and Shizu seemed like a nice person. I had high standard's for my potential harem as certain races attracted me more than others. First we're goddesses, followed by elves, Demi humans and lastly humans. I always feared having romantic relations with any short lived races. Their early death, would hurt me badly as I had a very long life span.

Who would like to watch their spouse age and die, and even their descendants would suffer the same fate, unless they were pure blooded of a long lived race. The offspring of two different races in this world was hard and even if it worked the offspring would end up either a halfling, an extremely rare hybrid or end up with only one side, well hopefully the hybrid and the side they end up with will be the long lived one. But the chances of the rarer options happening was astronomically low. Some may say I am paranoid but one has to remember there is a whole world and life after the whole plot is over.

Well the only exceptions maybe really higher levelled adventurers, as adventurers age slower the more powerful they become. Though I intend to reach the elusive level 10, because that was the speculated limit a mortal could reach before attaining divinity. But in the end all these were speculations. Well enough introspection, I thought as I walked through the streets towards Bahamuts speculated location while looking at my map.

Walking for a 2 hour I finally arrived at the location, I got lost a bunch of times but somehow found my way. It was a small house with amidst a row of similar designed houses. So I walked up to the front door and knocked.

"Who is it" came a sweet voice from behind the door as I felt my heart race, with my heightened sense I could hear the sound of footsteps approaching the door as I readied my heart.

*Swoosh*

The door opened to reveal a girl with dragon like features. Her scales shimmered in the light and her eyes glowed with otherworldly intensity. She had silver scales that ran from her shoulder till her fingertips, along with flexible looking tail, long horns and fair looking skin. She looked as tall as Hestia in stature, with long ears and elvish looking face, in other words a dragon girl legal loli. Her presence stirred things in me that I didn't even know existed. My dragon instincts were about to take over when her words snapped me back to reality.

" Aaaah, how long I have been waiting for you. You must be the one I have been waiting for" she said in a stoic expression. But I could somehow tell that she was in a state of excitement.

"Come in, and introduce yourself" she said as she walked back into the house and I followed while closing the door.
