CHAPTER 14

"I am sorry I am late,I was stuck outside with the media outside,I don't know who gave them a tip off that I was coming here",Amelia said when she walked up to Diana.

"How is your Beatrice and your brother,hope they are responding to treatment"?, don't worry about the bills my husband and I will take care of everything they need she continued not giving Diana the chance to speak at all.

Beatrice was a nice woman,which ward is she in,hope she is comfortable,if the room is not good,we can shift them to a private room so that she can receive more care and attention.

"Why are you not saying anything,Alex is everything alright"?,Amelia asked facing her husband.Alex had no choice but to leave Diana,he pulled Amelia closer and gave a hug,"you need to pull yourself together Lia he said using her pet name,Diana lost Beatrice and her brother,they are dead,he said.

Amelia fainted from the shock,it took the intervention of the doctors and nurses to wake her up,the doctor advised that they allow her to rest as her condition was not stable,Alex could not leave her side,he stayed beside her till she regained consciousness.

Immediately she woke up,she started crying,Alex calmed her down and asked to take care of herself,"I know this past few days have been hard on you,but you need to take care of yourself and our unborn child"Alex said.

Amelia was shocked because she wasn't aware that Alex knew that she was pregnant, "h ho how did you know ?,she stammered,I saw the test results and I am not blaming you,after dad's death I know you have not been yourself he said.

He kissed Amelia and asked her to take a rest that he was going to help Diana out since Beatrice was like a family friend,"I am sorry about everything Diana,Amelia said."It is okay,I understand and I know how much you love my mom,she would be very happy knowing that you still care about her, congratulations on your pregnancy Diana replied,Take care of yourself I will see you tomorrow she said,her face was full of anger.

Alex escorted her out of the room but when Diana was about to leave the room she could swear she saw Amelia smirking at her but she felt it was just an imagination.

Amelia could not control the laughter,this is just the beginning Diana she said,I will take everything and everyone you hold dearly from you, you and Alex will be left with nothing she said.

She picked her phone and called her son on video,they talked for a while and then she hung up after reassuring him that she was going to be with him very soon.After hanging up,she checked the message that came in when she was on call."It is done",she read the message and deleted it.

Nobody would have known that Amelia was the one that killed Beatrice and her son that night,it only took putting sleeping drugs into their wine and leaving the napkins beside the fire in the kitchen to take them out of the picture,"goodbye Beatrice she said I hope you are keeping my father company over there,oh sorry I forgot you can't meet him because you will be going to hell,while my father is in heaven with my mother", don't worry very soon I will be sending your son-in-law and daughter to keep you company.
