Chapter 2: Meeting Chandler

Five years later...

A blonde toddler can be seen strolling down the hallways while running from his pursers who were asked personally by his father to bring him to meet his new instructor but it is proving difficult as he would evade their clutches at the last second which irritated them to no end.

" Master Meliodas would you kindly please stop running!" says one of the demon guards as he is on the brink of collapsing in exhaustion as he was out of shape. " Your father personally ordered us to bring you to Sir Chandler's quarters and we must abide by his command." says another who is not as exhausted.

"Hmmm....alright but you could've started with that first as you practically barged into my room without restraints. Otherwise I would've thought that you were going kidnap me hehehe." Meliodas says chuckling causing the guards to grit their teeth while holding themselves back at their prince's ignorance to the situation.

'Damn brat' they both thought as they lead Meliodas to Chandler's quarters.

A few minutes later...

The guards stop at the door of Chandler's quarters as they proceed to knock on it while Meliodas was whistling in a innocent fashion like he wasn't responsible for their incompetence to bring him here sooner causing their eyes to twitch violently.

"Come in." says a gruffled voice coming from the other side as the door magically opens as the guards nod at Meliodas as he heads inside.

(Meliodas POV)

As I go inside the room to meet my instructor, I can visibly hear the guards sigh in relief not that I blame them but they don't realize that I was using them to train myself in case if I were to get kidnapped by anyone for that matter.

Hard to believe that it's been around five years or so since I was reborn into this world. I learned several new things that weren't explored in the manga. Well for one, turns out this palace that my father rules looks like your typical cliche castle except the colors are darker in depth and another thing, all demons have to reach up to a certain age before they can awaken their power of darkness. And a Demon's power of darkness varies depending on what type of demon you are, some may have a increased capacity to wield greater power while others may not be so lucky. Those who do not have the affinity to wield it are often outcasts within this society and unless they somehow manage to attain it, the way they are treated by other demons is too gruesome to describe as I had the displeasure of witnessing such an event. Basically It was a massacre as it happened when my mother took me shopping along with some guards who were asked to protect us as many demons stood out of our way mostly out of fear. Then, suddenly we heard some shouts from a nearby alley as I watched some low- class demon get slaughtered into mere pieces but what shocked me the most is that the expressions that my mother and the guards had were normal like these events happen too often. Then again, this isn't a human type of society so I can understand, but it seems that I still have some ounce of humanity within me.

Back to the main topic... As I enter into the room, what I thought was a small room turned out to be what would be described as a dojo or a gym mixed into one as I see my instructor who would eventually become very attached to me as time goes on. His flowing spikey green hair and goatee along with the demon mark presented in his right eye that look like two settings buttons connected to one another along with his middle-age appearance

Yep it is Chandler as I see him approach me as he stops right in front of me as I now realize how small I am.

"So your the one, the old chump asked me to train huh?" He says with a bemused tone. " Now the first thing we'll do is to awaken your darkness and from what I can sense within you; your potential is unfathomable as expected of the son of the Demon King." He then uses his magic as I don't know what he is doing but my body is beginning to feel different but at the same time it feels calming.

" Well, it seems that I made the right decision in accepting your father's request to become your instructor young Meliodas." He says as he sees the first stage demon mark formed over my right eye as my emerald eyes turn black with a very dark violet tint to them.

" Now then." He then clears his throat as he prepares what he has for me to do for today since it was the first day that he's going to train me.
