Their destination was the dwelling of the amethyst dragon, Sophie.
"Mr Lane, it seems you have some free time today to visit my lair. Have you concocted some new recipes to delight my palate?" Sophie inquired, her gaze drifting from Lane to Weia and then to Bruce, where it lingered with an intrigued intensity.
"Mr Lanhe, this one is a green dragon. He's not from your kin, is he? Have you brought this young one here as a snack for me?" Sophie joked, her tone light but underlyingly serious.
Bruce couldn't help but shudder at the mention. Although instances of dragons devouring their own kind were rare, the practice wasn't unheard of. Such acts allowed dragons to absorb the strengths, bloodlines, and magical essence of their kin, albeit with a very low chance of successful integration.
