Qiao Nan already knew that Chen Jun had made a shady deal with Wang Yang, but there was still something that Qiao Nan didn't know. It was that Chen Jun had thought of betraying Wang Yang to spend the rest of his life with her.
If Wang Yang inherited all of the Zhu family's assets, the Zhu family's power and authority would never be Chen Jun's no matter how much Wang Yang helped him. Wang Yang would still be in the equation. In fact, it would all depend on how much Wang Yang was willing to help him.
On the other hand, if Qiao Nan had indeed become Zhu Chengqi's goddaughter and received all of the Zhu family's assets, all of that would become his once he married Qiao Nan. Then, he wouldn't even need to rely on anyone else. It would be easier for him to climb up that way. Perhaps, he could even reach the very top.
