When they arrived at the Chengs' residence, they were not welcomed, as Cheng Luiying had anticipated.
"What the heck are you doing here? You have returned after two days; why do not you just stay wherever you came from?" Mrs. Cheng, Cheng Luiying's mother, chastised her the moment she entered the living room.
She raised her brow slightly, clearly unconcerned about what her mother thought of her, but Xin Yi would not have it.
"I suppose I am not welcome here either," Xin Yi said as he appeared from behind the door.
He had not gone in with her because he wanted to see for himself what they had done to her.
"Young Master Xin," said Cheng Nan, Luiying's sister, sweetly.
Xin Yi gave her a disgusted look and immediately stepped back. She was disappointed because she did not understand why he was cold to her.
"Mrs Cheng, Luiying, and I are getting married; we need her family register," Xin Yi stated directly.
