Ride Home

Inside the car there was not the same driver from the morning.

It was Xuan.

Previously before the death of Helen's mother and when Xuan was working in the household, it was Xuan's job to always pick Helen up from her school.

"Hi there, young ladies, I am here to pick you up." Xuan greeted both Athena and Helen. He had gradually expected Athena,as long as it could make Helen happy.

"Hello grandpa Xuan." Helen replied in a cheerful voice.

Athena only smiled and nodded in reply.

The car started and soon the trio got on the road.

The car sped up on the busy road. It was after school hours and not many had a car in the 2000s. Unless you were rich. But there were many public transport going around in the street. There were buses and taxis going around, making traffic.

"Did you guys, have fun at school?" Xuan started a little conversation, noticing the busy streets.

"Yup." Helen said with enthusiasm.

"Steward Xuan, Could you please do me a favor?" The Steward was slightly startled by Athena, she would never talk to him unless there was something important.

"Yes, Young lady." The stewards replied with all seriousness. There were in a traffic jam and it would take a few minutes before.

"Could you please buy me good laptop or computer, without telling my parents." Athena said with a straight face. Even though her tone was slightly sincere but her face looked as if she was giving orders.

The stewards replied with a "Yes".

Athena passed the steward around $2000.

"The butler was shocked, how could the lady have so much money. She was just a teen and she was able to afford a device on her own.

Helen was also shocked about the amount of money. But she didn't say anything.

The rest of the ride went on silence. The steward was mostly responsible for over looking and supervising if all the tasks are done correctly.

But he willingly dropped of the two ladies.

After a 25 minute ride from school to their house.

As they were turning into the street, "If possible after you drop off us off. Go back to buy me a laptop."

The steward was confused if he didn't show up with the young ladies, the 'master' of the house would complain. Since he showed up Maria has been on his tail, complaining about random stuff. Acting like the mistress of the house.

He didn't show Maria would probably tell Han and he wasn't pleased with him from the start.

"I have an excuse for you, Don't worry they won't suspect a thing and will probably think that you were doing your job." Athena knowing what he was thinking replied to ease the steward's worries.

With that the two ladies stepped out of the car. Helen bid steward a quick goodbye.

Athena on the other hand had another reminder to give. "Once you buy a laptop make sure to put it in my room. There will also be a change of around $500, put that into your bank account, I will use your bank account for transactions for a while." With her last words Athena turned around and walked inside the house.

While Helen walked with a little bounce on her feet, Athena walked in a straight and elegant manner.

The butler sighed, what had he gotten into, the scary thing about working for/with Athena was that she would not tell you anything until the very end. You could never tell what was going in that young ladies head.
