Why would he accept such a blasphemous statement when in fact, he is the system?

Even with that, he did not reveal to Leo, that he was the system, that he was the one speaking with him in the system's voice ever since the day he got the system, he wanted Leon to find this out, out of his own free will.

Nevertheless, all this was still a mystery to Leo, he did not know that Deus's spirit wisp is the system speaking to him as both of them had a different voices.

'The System told me that it was the cut-out consciousness of Deus before he died, and this guy said that the system never lies and he seems hellbent on protecting the System's integrity...all this point two things...

Either that the System consciousness does not have a body, or that, this guy in front of me is Deus's Consciousness am sure it's the latter'

Deus at first frowned when he heard Leo think of the answer, but when Leon came up with the right conclusion, his face turned awry.

"So you are the System..." Leon said as he started walking closer.

He wanted to touch Deus and know if he has a body, or whether his body is just a hologram ghost.

But Deus had heard his thought, instead of waiting, Deus disappeared into the thin air.

As all this was happening, Gladius was starting to feel awkward when he was ignored all this while, but he didn't mind it, he was sure that Leon must have lost all the respect he has for him when he asked Leon to sign the contract.

But when Deus left, Leon and Gladius were left alone, staring at themselves.

Leon's gaze was a hostile one, while Gladius's gaze had a hint of regret.

Awkwardly scratching his hair, Gladius said. "Why don't we both just forget about what happened earlier and just move on"
