She shared something sweeter

"What do you mean I will be staying here with you?" Eveline gave Gabriel a sharp look as he just disclosed the news of her staying at Winston's Mansion with them for a few days.

"Uncle Jonathan should have told you about his business trip?" Daniel furrowed, giving a perplexed look at Eveline and she hesitatingly shook her head.

"Mom said your phone was off when he tried to reach out to inform you about his unexpected business trip. So he called her instead and asked her to convey the news." Gabriel continued to speak, causing Eveline to move in her seat as she pulled out the phone from her bag, only to find it dead.

"It's dead," she muttered under her breath.

"He asked Mom to bring you home with us until he returns because he did not want to make you feel alone," Gabriel said with closure.

Eveline sighed in defeat, however, she made sure to call her father once she got the phone charge.
