"Excuse me, what did you just say?" Gabriel's eyebrows furrowed as he wondered if Eveline had thanked him.

Contrarily, Eveline abruptly snapped out of her reverie and stammered away. "Nothing, can we just get started?" she said, brushing off Gabriel's comment.

Eveline was unaware that she had unintentionally thanked Gabriel. But she bounced back quickly, and changed the topic.

Gabriel's brow furrowed as he realized he had heard her say things like "thank you," but Eveline's rejection ended their exchange.

Without pondering too much, Gabriel started teaching Eveline. He explained everything to her in detail, covering the topic he had mentioned in the book.

Eveline had always looked up to Gabriel, which eventually inspired her to be among the top students. She wanted to leave an impression on Gabriel, so she would put in a lot of effort to get his recognition.

Stefan once told her that Gabriel liked girls who were goal-oriented and ambitious. Because of this, Eveline continued to change in the hopes that one day he would recognize her value. However, everything changed when Tiffany revealed that post and Gabriel began to view Eveline differently.

Gabriel noticed that Eveline had been spacing out and he cleared his throat seizing her attention.

"Eve, is there something you don't understand?" He inquired as to whether her lack of understanding of his words was the reason she was spacing off.

Eveline jolted out of her thoughts and looked at Gabriel in a daze. Despite having known her since childhood, she was unable to comprehend how Gabriel concluded that she was the source of the photo leak.

This thought had always pricked her like a needle because Gabriel's attitude toward her had completely changed after that day and he started ignoring her.

As she continued to stare at him, her eyes began to well. Her heart began to pound suddenly, and she found it difficult to breathe.

The thought of his lifeless stare on her caused her to perspire profusely once more. Even at the last moment, she failed to see an ounce of fear in his eyes, and that made her give up her love for him.

Eveline had loved Gabriel from the moment she understood its true meaning. But after chasing him all her life, the result she got in the end was losing her life.

However, she has learned her lesson and will not be inclining her heart towards him this time.

"Eve, is everything alright? Are you feeling sick again?" Gabriel noticed the change in her expression and panicked.

He had practically dashed to the pharmacy to get Eveline the supplies she needed when he heard Stefan say that Eveline needed their assistance. Then, he hurried to the girls' bathroom, obliging everyone else.

Gabriel could not just stand there because he knew Eveline must be in pain and in need of support, even though he was not sure what had gotten into him for making such a risky move.

Gabriel was about to reach out to touch her when a tear roll down her eyes and he paused. Something inside his chest broke watching Eveline crying and he felt like taking her in his embrace.

Eveline on the other hand felt a sharp pain in her stomach and winced, alerting Gabriel the very moment.

"Eve," dropping his hesitation Gabriel quickly held her shoulder and watched her cry in pain.

"My stomach aches" she said clutching on her abdomen before another sharp pain shooted making everything go dark.

Eveline furrowed in her sleep, sweating profoundly as a dream occupied her mind and she kept blabbering something incoherent.

"Please don't give up.Please!!" Eveline suddenly jolted from her slumber breathing heavily.

"Eve" Gabriel voice drew her out from her trance and she looked at him in confusion.

Eveline furrowed finding Gabriel before her with her hand slowly resting on her stomach.

Realization soon hit her muddle thought, clearing the fog in her head bringing her back to the reality.

'It was a dream' she spoke to herself bringing her eyes back at Gabriel who appeared more than concern for her.

Gabriel rushed Eveline to the infirmary the moment she fainted. After a thorough examination and a few inquiry he was warned not to let her take painkiller empty stomach and if so then something whose dosage wasn't high as the one she had consumed. It was then did he find that Eveline had not eaten anything since morning.

However Gabriel was relief when the doctor confirmed there was nothing wrong with her and after some rest she would wake up. However Eveline suddenly started crying in her sleep, mumbling something he could grasp.

However her tears ripped his heart apart and he panicked ready to call the doctor when she suddenly woke up.

Eveline was still in the middle of processing when the door to the infirmary room opened and both Stefan and Daniel rushed inside.

Their worried voice broke the deafening silence inside the room with Stefan and Daniel striding next to Eveline's bed.

"I told you not to take those medicines why didn't you listen to me. See how badly it took a toll on you" Stefan like the older brother scolded her.

Daniel who also learned about Eveline skipped his class and rushed to meet her.

"Thank God it was due to the medicine that you faint. I thought you say the post and lost your mind"

Both Gabriel and Eveline furrowed hearing Daniel's incoherent words.

Stefan faced palmed himself and gestured Daniel to stop, however he ignored his actions and continued to blaber.

"What post you are talking about?" Eveline inquired,unable to get his words.

Stefan groan helplessly that caused Gabriel look at him before Daniel pulled out the phone and opened the college forum.

"Here, this is the post" he said shoving the phone right into their faces.
