Same world, Different world.

Time flies by and the Boreas household, including Rudy came back from vacation.

They spend there almost two weeks since the beach was so refreshing and Eris of course, suggested that to stay more.

Even though Rudy was reluctant to join since he was going to do the experiment, he gave in due to Eris's convincing advances. For example, she pinned him down while Rudy was sleeping every night and he didn't fight back.

The whole family enjoyed the vacation but didn't stay longer because they still have duties to attend to, since they are the ones managing the city.

But in the middle of the vacation, an unexpected happened. Hilda, for god knows why, approached Rudy and start to have a conversation.

'As far as I know, she didn't like me for some reason. Maybe she wants me leave Eris or the Boreas in general.' Rudy already assumed this because Hilda didn't like the original Rudy in there first encounter.

"Rudy, sorry for not seeing you in the mansion, since I'm assisting my father-in-law in managing the finances of the city." When she saw Rudy was sitting in the shore, Hilda also sit beside him, making Rudy quite confused.

"How's your mother? Philip told me that this jerk betrayed her trust... I was right for telling Zenith that he wasn't good for her." Hilda didn't stop ranting and finally look at Rudy.

She realized that Rudy wasn't making any expression. Hilda then apologized once more for berating his father, she thinks that Rudy must really close to his father.

Rudy's mind was trying to comprehend what was happening right now. What's happening now was really weird. As far as he know, Zenith and Hilda didn't know each other, then why Hilda was very affected about her marriage?

"Uhmmm... Aunt Hilda, please don't be offended. But what relationship do you have with my mother?" Rudy asked with eyes gleamed with curiosity.

"So she didn't tell you huh? Well, we are cousins just like my husband and that jerk(probably Paul). I also hold the name Latreia before and abandon it when I marry Philip." Rudy's entire face couldn't explain due to bewilderment.

'This... First, my Dad already have the sword that can cut any durable things but can't cut a paper or soft things... Now, you're telling me that Zenith and Hilda are related...' Rudy's deep thoughts still continue.

In Tsubasa Chronicles Reservoir, Youko, the witch of dimension explains to Kurogane that his origins is Japan, but he is also staying in Japan where Watanuki and Youko lives. Though the explanation is vague, the overall idea is what you know in your world, might have different destinies, different paths and different history.

The original Rudues's Mushoku Tensei world and the current Rudeus's Mushoku Tensei world are the same but different. This kind of phenomena is very head-aching, because what you might know in the original story might be different here.

'The moment I attacked Darius Silva Ganius, Hitogami might chose another apostle and he wouldn't use the prime minister anymore.' Since he already change the future, and the history of this world is slightly different, he will just smash any problems that may arise.

"Rudy!" Hilda shouted, making him break his deep thoughts.

"Oooh... I'm sorry Aunt Hilda, just thinking deeply... What are you going to say?" Rudy immediately scratch his back head due to embarrassment.

"Maybe we should return to our cottage, Philip and Father might looking at us." Hilda was thinking that she might offend her cousin's son for berating his father.

This conversation are still in Rudy's mind, thinking of what changes and what remains in this world.

He was lying on his bed and didn't have energy to do his experiment for now, it really bugs him to the core about this phenomena.

But in the end, he already accepted it due to meeting Watanuki. He is the very evidence that the original and the current world are the same and different at the same time. The ambiguity is getting real.

While he was still thinking this matter, Philip suddenly intrudes without a knock.

"Sorry to say it Rudy, but my father wants to talk to you." Philip answered without being sorry for what he did.

"At least try to knock first before entering..." His Dad and Uncle Philip are the same in this department, they didn't know how to read the mood.

The two arrived in the master's study room. They noticed that Hilda and Sauros are talking to each other about something important.

Rudy saw that Edona Lelion, who was responsible for teaching Eris about dancing and other noble stuff, Alphonse, the new butler that was hired when Thomas retired in his service and Ghyslaine, sitting in the chair and listening to the conversation of the two.

"My son and Rudy are here now. Come, have a sit." Rudy noticed that Sauros was in a good mood.

"To brief you shortly, this meeting was related to Eris. Because I want you to also help at making her birthday, success". Sauros's attitude becomes refreshing every time he talks about his grand-daughter.

Rudy didn't know exactly when her birthday was, so he wasn't prepared about this. For now, he also help to suggest on how her birthday become more exciting. Though he would change it since Rudy wants to experience how nobles celebrate there birthday, hands on.

'I think I have to reward her for changing her personality, she really change when I showed him my Utsusemi, she listens to me even though my story telling sucks.' Rudy couldn't help but to chuckle when he tried to remember her confused look.

Rudy decided to make something for her, something that she will get delighted when Eris saw it. Sword maybe a good fitting but its still a bit strange to give it a present to a 10 year old girl. So he decided to make an accessory that will be helpful to her, like an amulet or ring that has a protection.

Since he was still undecided about what he would make for her, he just rest in the bed while trying to forget his worries about the paradox phenomena. He just hope that her birthday would be a success like in the original story.
