Song Boyan...

That name appeared in Tang Li's head.

If she was not wrong, 'Minister Song' or 'Brother Song' was the current Minister of Finance, Song Boyan. 

He was also the next president of Nation S.

She had only seen Song Boyan from afar when she had stopped his car in her former life.

His body was weak back then.

From the half-opened car window, she could clearly see that the man who sat at the back of the car was coughing into a handkerchief. He seemed slim but not weak. He appeared serious in front of her. He did not even ask the bodyguard to drive her away because of her rudeness. 

Tang Li could remember that incident distinctly because...

He was the only one who had ever helped her back in all those years.

But, she was locked up by Han Jifeng in their house. After half a year, she had read from the news that the new president was forced to step down from his position because his relatives had interfered in government affairs. 

Song Boyan then passed away at the hospital less than a month after that incident. He was only thirty-six years old when he died. 

Tang Li sat on her bed and looked up everything about Song Boyan from her phone but there was not much about him from Wikipedia.

She could only gain basic information of him and the positions that he had held before.

Tang Li was looking at his date of birth when the door of her room was pushed open harshly. It made a thunderous sound when it hit the wall.

It was Li Yuan'er.

Tang Li knew that she did not come to meet her for anything nice. So, she put down her phone and got up slowly. "What's wrong?"

"Tang Li!" Li Yuan'er was outraged.

Tang Li looked up.

Li Yuan'er had changed into clean and dry clothes. Her right arm was nicely bandaged. She was no longer as pathetic as how she was just now. She stared at Tang Li. Suddenly, she stretched out her right hand that was holding a glass of hot water.

Tang Li did not manage to dodge her attack and both her neck and shoulder were scalded.

Li Yuan'er was happy to see Tang Li hurt. "Remember this. You're living in my home. Don't you dare forget that and act recklessly in front of me! I'm the master here!"

Tang Li smirked when she heard that.

Li Yuan'er was angry. "What are you smirking about?"

Tang Li raised her hand and wiped away the hot water from her cheek. Then, she approached Li Yuan'er and gave her a slap when Li Yuan'er was unprepared.

Li Yuan'er's head jerked to one side from her slap.

Her face soon turned hot with pain.

She covered her face in disbelief.

How dare a parasite like Tang Li slapped her!

She was nothing but an illegitimate daughter!

Li Yuan'er was filled with extreme fury when she realized what Tang Li had done to her. Tang Li held Li Yuan'er face harshly. Soon, she heard Tang Li's devilish voice in her ears. "You're so disobedient. How should I punish you?"

Li Yuan'er became frightened. "Aunt Wu! Aunt Wu!"

Tang Li was amused by how helpless she seemed. She let go of her hand slowly. "If you ever come into my room without knocking first or bring along dangerous items like today, your punishment won't be that light."

Tang Li did not seem to care when Li Yuan'er looked at her with a deep hatred. "Get lost now!"

"That's your true nature!" She looked at Tang Li who had changed overnight and gritted her teeth. "You pretended to be timid in the past and you have even acted weak in the garden just now."

Suddenly, Tang Li burst into laughter. She approached Li Yuan'er again and spoke in her ears. "Then, you should know how you must behave in front of me.

"It's because your family owes me and my mother. I'll get back everything that belongs to me."
