'Who is she? Why did God send her to this small town? For what purpose?'
Xavier put aside his curiosity and stood up from his chair. Iris and the others also got up and left the room. However, just as they were about to exit the building, someone called out to Iris from behind.
When Iris looked back, she was surprised to see a thin, middle-aged man with gray hair standing not far from her. She tried to contain her emotions as she met his gaze, offering a polite smile before asking, "Yes, Professor Alberto... Why did you call me?"
Alberto West didn't respond immediately; instead, he slowly adjusted his crescent moon glasses. Iris couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling about this man. Given what she knew, he was a predator in the dark.
"Iris Gray, follow me. I have something to discuss with you," Alberto said, motioning for her to join him as he walked toward a side entrance. The path led to another building designated for staff and professors.
