New Student - Part 3

"Here, you can see for yourself as I got more important things to do, so goodbye, Angel, and hope one day, you'll remember this day and realize you made the correct choice," Alice smiled as she gave Casper Angel's reading and left the Master to their own devices.

[Name: Angel Sánchez

Cultivation Realm: God [Level 5.5]

Techniques: ???

Affinity: Fire [90%] & Darkness [90%]

Laws: Darkness, Fire, and Blood

Bloodline: ???]

"Hehe, it seems I still got it after all! Now, what can those old bastards say as I as well have a disciple now and a talented one at that?!" Casper exclaimed as he pranced around excitedly while imagining the faces of those puckish sly old fossils when he informed them of the news.

After, being bullied by them for the past 5 years for being unable to recruit a disciple.

'Please tell me this isn't my master?' Angel complained as he watched his master make a complete fool of himself.

'I would love to tell you no, Angel but sadly this is going to be our master for the next couple of years. So, I would advise you to just ignore him and try to concentrate on the bigger picture.' St. Vil sighed.

'But while he may be talented and a rare genius within the 33rd batch, I cannot let his ego grow too big or else I will have another troublemaker on my hands.' Casper reminded himself after calming down and looking at the situation a bit more closely.

"Hmm... while decent, it seems you might just have a possibility of reaching True God by the end of your third year at the latest." He commented as he glanced at his new disciple.

"Decent?!" Angel shouted as he stepped back in disbelief, "But master, I'm a mid-stage God with two high-tier affinities, plus, the longer I fight the stronger I get so just how can I be just decent?"

He asked as Casper's words were a bit too insulting to his ears, considering he had the potential to become a Divine Lord in the future.

"Lesson #1 just because you are magnificent now doesn't mean you always will be, my disciple, so learn to be humble as a high cultivation doesn't equate to invincibility," Casper said as he glanced at Angel before walking away, "Oh and your dorm number is 1465, so go say goodbye to your mom before coming to find me in the back mountains."

"Sigh, hopefully, this won't backfire on us again like last time. But just what was that..." Alice muttered as she walked slowly back to the front desk.

After, noticing the array which covered the testing room fluctuated briefly, during the moment Angel walked through before returning to normal. Which usually is not anything strange since most families place unique seals on the techniques their descendants practice.

However, this was different as during that brief period a crack appeared on the array almost causing it to collapse as if it could not identify or bypass whatever resided within Angel's body. Yet, while that did leave some questions in Alice's mind about the whole ordeal, there was no tangible evidence to show that the array nearly collapsed unless a Formation Master came and inspected it.

But with the principal gradually losing power, she will not allow the hyenas to watch in the darkness to gain the chance to get a one-up on her. So, for now, Angel's off the hook but just how long will that last?

Principal's office -

Knock. Knock.

"Come in," Olivia said tiredly as she looked up for a second before returning to the load of paperwork she had to complete before the end of the day.

Click. Thud.

"So, I know, I'm probably the last person you want to see at the moment, but I will make this quick, could I get permission to take my class on a field trip?" Niko asked after stepping through the door and getting right down to business.

'Sigh, just look what the cat dragged in now?' Olivia thought as she moved her paperwork to the side and began typing away at something on her computer, completely disregarding whatever Niko tried to tell her.

"... so, you are just going to ignore me, huh?" Niko asked as he sniffled, "After all I've done for you, you're just going to *snivel* act as if I am m but another beggar on the street, Olivia."

"Tsk... if only people could see the real you, then maybe I'd treat you as an equal, but until then you are just another nuisance on the street trying to ask for a picture. So, what can I do for you as you now have my full attention?" Olivia asked as she stopped typing and stared at Niko in revolt.

"I was wondering if I could get the headmistress's permission to take my students on a short trip to Hawaii. So, they may have a fighting chance at the upcoming National Dive." Niko stated with a smile.

"That's it? That is all you wanted to ask me?" Olivia asked, a bit confused.

"Yup, I know right even I didn't believe it at first; so, what's the verdict?"

"As long as you don't cause any problems or tarnish the school's reputation then by all means you have my permission, Niko," Olivia stated as she looked at Niko peculiarly and agreed to his request.

"THANKS, OLIVIA AND I ASSURE YOU BY THE TIME WE RETURN YOU'LL BE IN FOR A SURPRISE!" Niko shouted as he dashed out of her office and went to go book their flights and complete some other miscellaneous tasks.

'Just what have I unleashed now, Oh Lord.?' Olivia giggled before returning to her work.

Meanwhile...

'Forget it as long as he's happy that's all that matters,' Alice thought as she walked down the corridor, accompanied by the sound of her heels clicking against the marble flooring. Since there was no point in worrying over spilled milk when she could not solve the issue or understand the situation.

"So how did it go? Did he get accepted?" Alex asked the moment she saw Alice return without Angel as she looked up from her phone and stood up.

"I'd love to tell you, but I believe a certain someone should be able to explain the situation better than me," Alice replied with a smile as she resumed her work.

"Oh... well I guess, I'll just wait then..." Alex said awkwardly as she sat back down.

"Not necessarily, but what do I know," Alice muttered mysteriously loud enough for Alex to hear.

"Huh? What did you~"

Whoosh.

"Mom! Guess what I..." Angel shouted excitedly as he ran out of the corridor and jumped into Alex's embrace.

Bonk.

"Ouch! Hey, what was that for?!"

"What did I tell you about yelling, Angel?" Alex asked sternly as she hit Angel midjump knocking him onto the floor.

Thud.

"Tsk, but I was only trying to inform you of the good news," Angel muttered with frustration as he got up and patted himself down.

"From the smile on your face and your actions just now, I can already tell you got in, Angel. So, there was no need for that but... do still tell Mama the details." Alex said with a smile as she giggled, "As this is the last time, we'll probably be seeing each other for a while so I am going to need all the tea. Before I leave... as it's finally time for you to become the man, I and your father always thought you could be my little firefly."

She said as two teardrops slid down her face out of nowhere while she hugged Angel, almost forgetting this was all but an act. Yet while it may be an act, why did she feel as if she were about to lose something precious?

"I will Mom and there's no need to get so emotional as I'll always just be just a call away." Angel smiled as he hugged her back.

"Thank you," Alex whispered before letting go and walking toward the waiting area.

"No problem and thank you as well for always putting up with my bullshit, Alex. Oh, and I will put in the good word so expect the unexpected," Angel winked as he sat down and began narrating everything that occurred after he left with Alice.

While leaving out a few key details and some trivial info.

Sometime later…

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Sorry, honey but it seems it's about time for me to leave so good luck, and do remember to do your best as that's all that matters in the end," Alex said hastily as she gave Angel one last hug and a kiss on his forehead.

Before getting up and leaving in a flash, leaving him in a daze as by the time he realized what was going on, she had already left the school. After remembering Daylight had transferred her to a new division and today was her orientation.

'Damn, well that was unexpected... sigh, and now it's just us again, huh?' Angel thought as he scratched his head in disbelief.

'You can say that again so come on, let us get settled in. As this is bound to be a rocky year, so we are going to need to plan accordingly, in case anything unexpected occurs.' St. Vil commented eagerly as he could not wait to experience the real world again.

'Tsk, no rest for the weary...'
