The warm sunlight slipped off the crack of the window and fell on a bed, revealing the figure of a sleeping young woman.

Her face was gorgeous with sharp features as if it was handcrafted by god. Her long and thick white hair complemented her features, accentuating her beauty greatly, making her even more beautiful.

Considering her body hadn't fully grown yet, how beautiful she would finally be when she had fully matured?

Would she become one of those rare one thousand years beauty? Looking at her currently already bountiful and curvaceous figure, it was likely the case.

Feeling the bright sunlight on her eyes, and the cool breeze of wind that caressed her skin, the figure slightly stirred, and soon opened her eyes groggily, revealing two radiant golden orbs.

She paused for a moment as she saw the unfamiliar room. After a quick look, she found out that the room was pretty simple, a bed, a chair and a table, and a cupboard, nothing more than the necessities.

Her whole body felt weak as she tried to lift her upper body. Looking at her hands and below her white clothes, she was fully covered in bandages.

Holding on the wooden ledge of the bed using both her hands, she tried to push lift her body up and get up from the bed—

Thud!

Before painful sensation suddenly jolted through her arms and she fell back into the bed, creating a loud noise. Her arms felt numb as she could hardly move them.

She let out a sigh, it seemed that her condition was worse than what she had expected.

Knowing that she shouldn't move to worsen her condition, she sat still patiently on the bed. If her calculation wasn't wrong, someone would soon check on her as the previous noise would definitely alert someone if they were serious in treating an injured patient.

Her calculation seemed correct as rhythmic and steady footsteps could be heard approaching her room.

However, instead of the expected caretaker or nurse, it was a figure that was extremely familiar to her. On his hands, he was carrying a platter with drinks and food.

"Liu?" She exclaimed in surprise, a bit taken aback by his appearance.

"How are you feeling?" Liu Guanyi asked whiling smiling nicely.

"My body is still weak, especially my hands. They are practically unusable at the moment." She answered calmly.

Placing the platter on the table, Liu Guanyi responded casually. "That's okay, only a very short time passed since then so it's reasonable."

"Instead, I am honestly quite surprised that you actually have managed to be awake by now. I guess I underestimated your tenacity, Adori."

"Maybe you shouldn't have underestimated me then." Said Adori as she smiled.

"Yea, maybe I shouldn't have. You are a prodigious princess of Zahard, after all." Said Liu Guanyi teasingly with a smile.

"Isn't a certain someone is even more prodigious than this so-called prodigious princess?" Adori returned back his words with a smirk.

Liu Guanyi didn't answer and only smiled. They studied each other's faces while smiling for a moment, then, both of them burst out laughing.

They continue to joke around for a while, easing the tension and warming the atmosphere between them.

"Anyway, you said it's only a short time but how long exactly I have been unconscious?" Adori asked her tone was more serious.

"It's only been three days so no need to worry. With your vitality and natural regenerative ability, I estimate that you will recover within less than a month… maybe three weeks." Said Liu Guanyi.

"I see, so you are the one who takes care of me? I didn't expect that you can do such a delicate job like tending and treating other people." Adori spoke with a smile.

"Although I don't look like it, treating others is one of my specialties. It's understandable that even you don't consider such since I am mostly engrossed in my training, and I don't look like someone who could take care of others."

"However, training is not simple. It's really taxing on the body, especially in the long period. Without the proper technique, we can harm ourselves instead."

"And even with the proper technique, we can still make mistakes that can break our bodies. There wasn't anything like shinsu to help us back then so any bodily harm was critical."

"To treat ourselves, we need to have the proper knowledge and experience about the human body and medicine, that's why I am quite able to treat you." Explained Liu Guanyi.

Adori nodded her head in understanding, she didn't expect that there was such a deep background under his circumstances.

She thought that his body was already extremely strong and durable from the beginning, after all, Liu Guanyi was already quite strong when she met him for the first time, but it seemed that it wasn't the case.

Also, in his world, there wasn't something like shinsu?

Then, what did the people there survive by?

Adori didn't know but she had heard something that was called "the air" was exist on the outside in some ancient book records regarding the ten great families.

Maybe it was the air, then? Since Liu Guanyi had also come from the outside.

Adori was genuinely very curious about the outside. But, if Liu Guanyi didn't want to talk about it himself, she wouldn't trouble him by pestering him with a lot of questions about the outside, Adori could handle that much at least.

Talking about the outside was dangerous and sensitive anyway so they were always careful about that.

"Now, since I have talked a lot about myself, don't you think that it's a bit unfair that you haven't shared your story with me? I want to know more about you personally, not as Adori Zahard, a prodigious princess of Zahard."

Liu Guanyi stopped for a moment.

"But rather as Adori, someone whom I have journeyed together for decades." Liu Guanyi spoke with a sincere smile.

Hearing such a statement coming from him so suddenly, Adori was surprised as her heart couldn't help but skip a beat.

It seemed that her previous outburst had made him curious about her problem.

"If you don't mind, why don't you share what troubled you before?" Asked Liu Guanyi with a reassuring smile.

Adori was silent for a while before she finally opened her mouth.
