As the girls felt themselves get pulled away from the gravestone they couldn't get the person they saw speak with Xilo out of their heads. A huge dragon with golden flames that lined it's body with power that threatened to tear Xilo into two pieces without a second thought. Her voice was low and from the gut but Xelfia knew it was a female. "Xilo...." Besides the few words she heard them exchange, she could do nothing but watch as Xilo dealt with it. "Move." Her body was paralyzed where she stood.
"You can call me....."
Relia on the other hand saw a giant bird covered in flames that were constantly switching colours as it landed beside Xilo gracefully. "What the." Taken off guard by its beauty Relia couldn't move or speak as she watched in fear. If even an inch of it's flames touched Xilo she was sure he would burn instantly without a chance to fight back. "A female bird of flames." Listening to them speak together Relia felt a shudder run down her spine as it spoke its name.
"You can call me Azalu."
Without question Relia instantly called Azalu in her mind without caring at all if she was sleeping or not. She never received a reply though sadly leaving her all by herself with her thoughts. "It's just a coincidence." Convincing herself of that, Relia breathed in and out deeply as Xilo eventually came and grabbed her. Walking with Xilo neither of them looked back on that figure as a sense of calmness ran through their bodies. With Xilo once again beside them they were calm.
Watching his figure fade away Xilo thought about going back. "If I'm right..." Even with that realization though Xilo didn't have it in him to disturb that man again. "Just leave him be." Dusk had said he wanted to be alone and Xilo would respect that. Maybe one day he would see him again and get a chance to ask but until then he had Tearia to run back to. Feeling the girls begin to stir to life again as the field of flowers disappeared Xilo wondered why they were so quiet.
"You two okay? You both have have been out of it since that man showed up."
""Man?""
Hearing the confusion in their voices, Xilo repeated himself.
"Yeah, the casual looking dude who walked up to me near the grave, him. You guys haven't said a word ever since he showed up."
"Xilo, that wasn't a man nor a human. That was a very big female dragon and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't speak."
Xelfia could still remember it's scales radiant shine as the sun bounced off them. It was a hard sight to just forget along with the sheer power that radiated from it's entire being. "Xilo said he saw a man though?" She almost thought Xilo or her was losing it until she heard Relia speak up. Hearing those two talk about what they just saw, Relia was left confused about what she had seen. She hadn't seen either of those things when that thing appeared.
"....umm..I saw a bird..filled with...flames..of all...colours."
Hearing Relia's new answer get mixed into the bag Xilo was confused.
"Hold on, doesn't that mean we each saw something completely different. That doesn't really make sense does it?"
"It doesn't, however I heard her speak even if I couldn't. I know what I saw back there."
"...Same."
"If that's the case then did it have the same name that I heard at least? That shouldn't have changed right?"
If they all saw something different that didn't mean they would have heard different voices.
"Mine didn't give out a name..."
"...It called itself Azalu."
"The one I saw said their name was Dusk. Weird, you two couldn't move or talk right?
""Yeah.""
"Then why could I…."
Not really understanding what was going on Xilo wiped his head back one last time but that figure in the distance had already completely disappeared. "They're gone." With only the three of them left in this place Xilo stayed silent for a couple seconds while he tried to come up with a conclusion. "I think we all felt it's power so maybe it was trying to disguise itself?" That was the only logical thing Xilo could think of. If that was the case though why did it take on three different forms instead of just one and use three different names.
"Maybe it's a weird power we don't know about or it was a powerful being messing with us?"
He knew Xelfia was probably right but it didn't feel right to him.
"Then why did they help us out?"
"Who knows Xilo, people are hard to figure out or maybe they were feeling generous, a lot of possibilities. We were able to make it out alive at least and I don't think most could do the same."
"...Xelfia's...right."
"Haaa...I know she is."
Looking up at the sky Xilo wanted to make some sense of the illogical. "Oh, fuck." Sadly though he was only met with the setting of the sun as they lost what extra time he thought they had. He didn't know how long they had stayed there or if that person was manipulating his sense of time but they had so much less time then he initially thought. "If we want to make it back in we need to hurry." Shaking his head he made sure the flowers he was given were still with him and not a trick as well before he turned to the two beside him.
"We'll think about it more later, for now we need to run back and no more breaks in between. Think you're both up to it?"
"I'll be fine."
Turning to Relia, she was the one he was worried about the most.
"....I'll do..my best."
With everything ready he started to sprint back.
"I hope you're ready Tearia."
Feeling a small explosion attack her hand Tearia was struggling to mix everything together.
