Pitch black darkness seeped out of the seal and travelled around Xilo's mind signalling the beginning of his suffering. Agony filled his soul as the darkness spread around his body threatening to tear him to pieces. Small grunts escaped his lips while the pain kept him just barely awake. Tiny blades as small as a pebble started to poke out of his skin in an attempt to rip everything apart. His transformation was beginning, if he couldn't keep it under control he would be let loose with power that he couldn't control. If that happened there was a very good chance he would attack his friends in the process.
"No wonder she doesn't trust me." If something like that happened he could easily see people not wanting to place their trust in him. He was essentially an unstable ticking time bomb that could explode on anyone. Friends, family, loved ones, it didn't matter when Xilo was like that.. They were all just things he had to kill but he knew that.. "How'd she figure that out though..." That question still lingered in his mind as he felt his skin getting cut open. He could barely make out Marie's panic right next time. Tearia seemed to be trying to calm her down but it wasn't working. Small restraints were quickly placed on his body made of wind as one of the twins came closer. After a brief moment the world around him quickly closed itself off after being encased in earth.
Watching Marie overreact to what was happening to Xilo, Tearia felt overwhelmed. "Why is she doing this?" She kept trying to get Marie to stop but nothing was getting through to her. She was completely ignoring anything she had to say. After sensing Xilo's energy Marie refused to take any chances as she cut Xilo off from the world. "So...gross, heavy, infectious...and evil." She had sensed small traces of it before without really knowing what it was. Now that she got a closer look at it she had a very good idea what it was. "A demon." She didn't care that Xilo was a demon under normal circumstances since Zilan trusted him but if he was going to go berserk then she would step in to stop it.
"Tearia be quiet. You know what's happening to him right? If so you should know this is for the best. We can't have a rampaging beast running around without restraints...."
Hearing Marie's cold words Tearia paused for a moment as she tried to put her thoughts into words.
"He won't lose control...his body is probably just trying to defend itself after Felli....stabbed him."
"I don't care what the reason for his change is, if he escapes from the bindings we just put on him I will kill him myself."
There was zero mercy behind Marie's words, she had seen a couple demons in her lifetime and knew exactly how most of their lives ended. "A cursed race, born to cause havoc and die." Some tried to live normal lives and were able to do so for a couple of years. The few she had met were like that but they all ended up the same in the end. One day they would lose control and go berserk until they eventually killed themselves or someone comes and does it for them. If Xilo was about to undergo the same process she would show no hesitation in doing something similar. "They'll hate me for it but it's for the better." Watching the pile of darkness carefully, Marie didn't say anything else to Tearia.
Left in silence Tearia wanted to say something in return yet nothing came to her. "....Be strong Xilo." If Marie knew what he was then there was no fighting back against her, nothing she could say would ever change her mind. Placing her hand on the small hill of dirt protecting them, Tearia tried to give Xilo any comfort she could. Dealing with Xelfia's relentless attacks was almost suffocating for Felli. Each attack hit harder and faster than the last as Felli backed away. She tried to fit in small attacks whenever she could and while they did work, Xelfia ignored any damage she was taking to continue fighting.
That made it extremely hard for Felli to get anything done, especially when the others joined in. Random fireballs were sent her way from Zilan along with a few wind blades. Sending more orbs their way she tried to make sure she kept the others distracted while she dodged Xelfia. This was all about stalling, she didn't have to win. "Why did they have to tell me those things." She could still remember what Althea had told her as well as Zelfin. She had her own doubts about it too after seeing it for the first time but they just solidified them making it difficult not to worry. "Come on Xilo...don't fail me." Now she was stuck hoping he could control himself, she needed his help. Afterwards she would apologise for what she did.
Sensing the rising darkness Felli knew what was coming next as she braced herself for the answer. "It's selfish, greedy....that's fine though." When she was given a choice by Althea she picked the only thing she wanted. The happiness she once had that was lost to her. "I'll get it back." Xelfia's claws passed by her arm ripping a chunk of skin off as she saw her Mother still fighting the man called Aeon. From the looks of it though it seemed like he was about to lose as well. "Not much more time." If all of them didn't help soon things were going to be over for better or worse. Xilo's darkness turned brighter as it spread around the room before disappearing. Surprise flashed by Felli's face as she looked at his location.
*Thump*
The quiet sound of thumping could be heard in the distance.
*Thump*
Marie watched her restraints very carefully as the sound got louder and more violent. She was ready to move the moment she determined Xilo wasn't worth keeping alive. Watching Xilo try to escape, Felli felt her heart rate speed up as a sense of nervousness got stuck in her throat. Xilo could feel his body bleeding everywhere as he bashed his tomb open without any worry for them. Rage filled his mind that threatened to explode but he managed to keep it down. Dirt fell onto his face as he saw a bit of light peeking through. Hitting harder Xilo didn't hold back as he jumped out the earth filled with scratches and blood. Looking around the room he felt his thoughts scatter to the wind as a knife approached his throats. He ignored it though as he turned to Felli's direction.
"Is this good enough for you Felli?"
At that moment Aeon finally lost his fight against the Queen.
