Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

A Little Scare

Jumping to the side Tearia dodged another stone ball while making sure she could keep herself up right with the ground constantly shaking underneath her feet. "So this is how it feels to be on the other side of his attacks." Watching his fight it didn't seem too bad but now that she got to experience it first hand she was learning the hard way. With a constant barrage of ranged attacks and constantly unstable ground it was impossible for her to do anything. To make matters worse the earthquake got stronger the closer she got to him. "This whole damn place is his playground at this point." Complaints were the only thing running through her head for the last five minutes and there was nothing she could do.

"Fuck."

Nearly tripping on her landing she made sure she caught herself before going back to dodging while Felix sat on one end without moving or speaking. "He has to have a limit right? so how can he keep this up for so long." From her guess they were even the same level of strength which left her speechless. "I can't do something similar so what is it...Is his element just that much easier than mine or is it somethi- wait maybe he has the Elemental Path?" Arriving to that conclusion it was the only thing she could really think of besides maybe an Innate Ability helping him out. "If he is an Elemental Path type that means he can keep this up for the entire duration of the fight and if that happens there's no hope for me to win at all." Maybe if she had some ranged attacks of her own it wouldn't be so bad but that wasn't the case.

Brushing some loose strands of hair that fell in front of her eyes Tearia was beginning to feel a panic different from her last fight. "I can't lose..." However she couldn't think of any way for her to win except getting closer but with her constantly being forced back that was a small hope. Stopping herself she watched as a chunk of stone whipped past her face right where she was going and sighed in relief. "Close." At this point Tearia could only hope she was wrong about his Path and continue to think of something in the meantime.

Watching from above Hazel was well past the breaking point of her patience as she watched Tearia's fight but she had to stay calm. "We've still got one fighter left and if that fails....." Then she would no longer have to care about any consequences but until then she would have to hold in her anger. "I can't believe such a weakling has managed to piss me off this much." Though that wasn't saying much. Hazel had always been someone quick to anger and all of her Clan members knew that except herself. They were probably more surprised at the fact she hadn't done anything yet herself besides gritting her teeth and hands constantly in annoyance.

"I'll be sure to deal with her Leader."

Hearing a voice she dragged her eyes off Tearia's fight to spot a man in white clothing and a sword by his side appeared next to her and bowed but she didn't say anything to him.

"Hmph."

Her faith in her people had fallen to an all time low when it came to anything involving that girl but she didn't say anything. If he managed to accomplish something then great and if not she would take it into her own hands. "Consequences be damned." The worst that could happen to her was a slap on a wrist anyway not like anyone here could truly stop her from killing one weakling. Feeling a shiver run up her back she put that thought away as she went back to paying attention to the fights.

"Maybe I can break one of the boulders and use that to my advantage?" With another five minutes passing again with no signs of Felix getting tired yet Tearia was starting to get a little desperate in her planning. "This is truly my worst match up." Thankfully her arm had been able to hold up through the entire time so that was one less thing Tearia had to worry about now. "I need to try and get closer again." It might have failed her first attempt but now she knew what to expect a little bit now. Feeling some sweat run down her back she decided to give it a try as she placed one foot forward and instantly felt the ground around her start to shake more but it was still bearable.

"Another." Walking forward another step she felt her body begin to wobble but she still stood straight as another boulder flew at her. "This doesn't make it easier." Attempting to dodge she felt the boulder scrap past her shoulder taking a bit of skin off. "So much harder." Looking up at felix she knew they were only about ten meters apart but with the way things were going currently she felt like it was hundreds instead.

"Come on Tearia you got this." Silently cheering for her from above the lone girl sat and watched as Tearia struggled against her opponent. "You can win I'm sure of it." Careful to not be noticed by anyone she made silent gestures in her head as she watched regardless of the pain that caused her from moving a little bit. At this point she didn't care about her wellbeing anymore anyway so it wasn't a big deal. However if she got caught doing something unnecessary then it might be a different story then. "I don't want to go back there." That dark room where she was sent whenever she made a mistake that resulted in endless torture sent shivers down her spine even now. "I believe in you. So believe in yourself okay?" Seeing the doubt written all of over Tearia's face she knew Tearia was losing hope but she had to keep trying. "I'm not one to talk though am I?" "I don't know about that." Hearing a sudden voice she panicked quickly before settling down.

"You scared me"
