Nathan paused as he weighed the options available before letting out a deep sigh. "Fine then, but we need to make preparations." Elena looked at him. "what preparations?"
"Like this, I am completely useless to you. I'm a burden. There's no way I'd be able to go with you without making preparations. At least, something that could help out."
Elena understood his point thus she nodded. "What do you have in mind?" Nathan bit down on his lower lip, forcing his brain to work on overdrive, thinking up a solution.
Just as Elena was about to comment on the prolonged silence, Nathan snapped his fingers. "I got it." Unfortunately, he was a bit too loud with his gesture.
"Lower your voice." Elena immediately said. Her warning came a step too late. A low growl was heard. "Shit, something is coming." Nathan instantly regretted his outburst.
