Chapter 4: Reynare

Issei was happy, this date was going great. He went shopping with Yuuma, went out to an arcade and then bought some ice cream, culminating in their perfect date.

Now they were both sitting on a bench in front of a tobacco shop, eating those ice creams. It looked like a romance movie set.

'I'm so nervous!' Issei screamed in his mind. This is the point where they were supposed to kiss. Or at least that was the case in the series he watched. And yes, he watched one before going on the date.

"I had a great time, Ise-san" Yuuma commented with a radiant smile. Issei's heart began to beat with incredible force.

"A-ah, yeah?" Issei almost choked on his own words, the nerves running through his being were too much, "I'm glad you have..."

Suddenly, a spear of light pierced Issei's abdomen making his eyes roll back in his head, "ISSEI!" Yuuma screamed.

Suddenly, Yuuma spread her wings. It was indeed Reynare, who had been pretending to be a teenager.

"What the hell have you done, Kalawarner bitch?!" Reynare screamed looking at the fallen angel floating in the sky, "We were supposed to protect him!"

"Azazel-sama entrusted us with the mission of protecting sacred gear users, why the hell are you disobeying, moron?!" Reynare screamed.

"Hmpf, because according to Kokabiel-sama that boy was going to be a danger to his plans" the fallen angel named Kalawarner replied.

"His plans?" Reynare was confused, but suddenly, Kalawarner disappeared in a flutter of his wings.

Reynare turned around, seeing that Issei wouldn't stop bleeding, "Shit, shit!" the girl put a hand on his abdomen and a light came out of it.

Then, the bleeding slowly began to slow down. Issei opened his eyes slightly, and could barely make out Reynare's face.

"So that happened" Issei muttered raising his head, and seeing Reynare's superior smile.

"I made sure that a man would take you to the hospital, with the magic I applied to you, you would heal in one night. And so it happened" Reynare commented.

'That explains everything' Issei remembered the doctor's words this morning, "I guess I should be grateful to you after all"

"I already told you stupid, now get me out of here" Reynare crossed her arms again, but Issei remained still, "What the hell is wrong with you huh?"

"I'll get you out, only if you teach me magic" Issei looked at her with an amused smile.

"What? Listen, you ignorant, if you don't let me out of here..." Reynare couldn't finish her sentence, when Issei stood in front of her, "Issei..."

"Will you kill me? You can't, you'd be in trouble with your boss, and ah, you can't even get out of here" Issei showed a smile.

Reynare gritted her teeth in resignation, because everything she said was true, "How did you know about this trap against angels? Tell me"

"I didn't know, I just had to try it" Issei shrugged and Reynare raised an eyebrow.

"I doubt you knew how to do all this yesterday, you seem like a very different person" Reynare remembered the slobbering boy she went out with yesterday.

The poor boy who babbled, had a thousand erections every time he saw his oppai move, etc. This Issei seemed serious, his look was different. He was just as weak, but he believed himself to be invincible despite not having any powers.

"Being close to death changes you" Issei smiled, "So, do you accept my proposal or not?"

"I accept, only if you help me find a person" Reynare aroused Issei's curiosity with those words.

"Okay, who is it?" Issei asked.

"Asia Argento, she's a nun with special powers, I would go after her but the rest of the fallen would track my presence instantly"

"So go after her" Issei nodded, it wouldn't be that difficult either, "Once you do that, I'll agree to teach you magic, that's my deal" she said.

"I accept" Reynare smiled at Issei's words, who took a staff and broke part of the circle, so that the fallen angel would be released.

"Fool" Reynare looked at him before leaving the church and taking off flapping her wings.

Issei sighed at that, putting the holy water, the sacred oil and the crosses into a backpack. After running for a while, he arrived at his house.

"Ise, where were you?" a woman asked him as soon as he entered. This was his mother, Miki Hyodou.

"I was doing sports, mom" Issei smiled, tilting his head, and in turn felt a hand on his shoulder. It was his father, Gorou Hyodou.

"You're finally maturing" the man had tears in his eyes. Issei could only let a huge drop of sweat fall on his head.

Once in his room, Issei sat at his desk. He took a paper and began to make seals like pentagrams and some hieroglyphics.

"I remember that this pentagram was to lock a demon in it, salt is also effective in preventing them from entering the house"

Issei was grateful to have seen the supernatural series, he could put many things into practice. He went down to the kitchen and took the jar of salt, which was full.

So, he started to spread it around the house. Not only to protect himself from demons, but from evil spirits as well.

Issei remembered that at one point in the original series, his parents were kidnapped, so he needed to protect his home from everything.

After doing this, Issei took a shower and went to sleep. At midnight, Koneko was sent by Rias to spy on Issei, who was going to be her pawn.

Much to Koneko's surprise, she was unable to access it for a reason unknown to her.
