Chapter 20

Currently, I was flying around Mount Paozu looking for something that I had decided to collect a long time ago.

And yes, I can fly, it's not that hard, as Kami explained to me, you just have to use the Ki to propel yourself upwards. So I took the concept of a rocket and applied it to myself, and voila I can fly.

Well, after I learned how to fly, I flew to my orphanage and spent 3 days of my vacation there. From there I went to Kame Island where I spent another 2 days. And then my last destination was Mount Paozu, where I spent the last 2 days of my vacation. And before I left for the Lookout I decided to hunt a big animal as a gift for Gohan for letting me stay with them.

Now back to where we were, as I was saying I'm looking for something on Mount Paozu, and if I remember correctly, it is near Gohan's hut. So, after taking Gohan's hut as the centre point I began my search in the area.

"Wait, is that a crater?" I muttered.

After locating the crater, I immediately flew toward its centre, the crater was about 20 metres wide. And as it was quite old as shrubs and grass had grown inside it.

After removing some overgrown grass, I was finally able to see the thing at the centre of the crater.

"Yes, I finally found it," I muttered excitedly.

And as many of you have already guessed, it's the space pod or attack ball in which Goku arrived on earth. The space pod was in a bad shape as its hatch was open, and moss and vines had covered the insides of the pod. I have to keep it safe with me if I want to go out in space.

I removed the vines carefully from the insides of the pod, and then took out a capsule from my waist bag, "Alright, let's store this thing inside a capsule,"

Wait a minute where did you get a capsule from Arlic, you're broke as F#ck. This question should have popped inside the mind of some of you, it did, didn't it?

Well, I went to a city, then did some hypnosis here and hypnosis there, sold some gold, earned a million Ƶ(Zeni), then went to a shop and bought a house capsule, some storage capsules, and a waist bag. After buying all these things, I was still left with a couple of hundred thousand Ƶ, so I gave them to Madam Chiyo, as I don't need them anymore.

I clicked the button on top of the capsule and threw it towards the space pod. The capsule burst into smoke and the space pod vanished from its place, as the smoke cleared in place of the pod was a small capsule.

I picked up the capsule and placed it inside my waist bag, "Alright, now let's catch a big animal and present it to Grandpa,"

I soon found a 3-metre Boar, so after catching it I returned to Gohan's hut.

[Gohan's Hut]

"You brought a good hunt, this can easily last until tomorrow," Gohan praised me.

"Goku, what do we say when someone gives us a gift," Gohan said to Goku who was standing beside him.

"Tha… Thank you," Goku muttered.

"Goku, say it properly," Gohan said with a stern tone.

Goku took a deep breath and looked at me, "Thank you for your gift, Arlic,"

Gohan then patted Goku's head with a smile.

"It's alright Goku, we are friends aren't we, I can at least do this much for you guys," I replied with a smile.

"Okay Grandpa, Goku, it's time for me to leave, I'll visit again," I said and started floating upwards.

"Bye, Arlic, come back soon," Gohan said as he and Goku waved at me.

"NEXT TIME YOU COME, YOU HAVE TO TEACH ME HOW TO FLY, ARLIC," Goku shouted with his might.

"YOU'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH," I replied loudly.

After saying goodbye, I immediately rushed towards the Lookout.

[1 Hour Later]

After flying for an hour I finally reached the Korin Tower, where I gave the Fish I caught for Korin to him and then went up towards the Lookout.

"Master, I'm back," I announced as I landed on the Lookout.

"Welcome back, Arlic, I hope you had fun on your vacation," Kami said as he came out of the building.

"Oh, it was amazing, I had a lot of fun," I answered with a grin.

"Oh Master, you won't believe what I found on Mount Paozu," I said excitedly.

"Hoh, what is it?" Kami asked with interest.

I brought out the storage capsule and threw it on the ground after pressing the button on top.

[Boom]

With a loud boom and some smoke, the space pod came out of the capsule.

"Hmm, this is interesting," Kami mumbled, "I have never seen something like this on Earth before,"

"Tell me Arlic, was there any military base nearby where you found this," Kami asked and I shook my head.

Kami walked near the pod and observed it closely, "From the way it looks, it should have been out in the open for a long time,"

"Let's clean this thing first," Kami said and then waved his hand and the moss and dirt that was stuck on the pod slowly disintegrated.

After cleaning the pod looked better than before, it still had some signs of corrosion and dents here and there, but it's still better than what I had expected it to look like.

Kami then started walking around the Pod carefully scanning it with his eyes.

"Hmm, this is not something made by Capsule Corp either, and this language, I have never read something like this before," Kami said after he examined the pod completely.

"Arlic, where did you find this thing," Kami asked me.

"Uh, Master I found it in the grassy plain nearby Grandpa Gohan's house, I was hunting an animal for them when I found this inside a big crater,"

"I was intrigued by this thing when I found it, so I used one of my storage capsules to store it and bring it here," I answered.

"Hmm, and where did you get these storage capsules from, Arlic?"Kami asked sternly.

"Uh, I sold some gold in a city to get some money to buy them," I replied meekly.

"Hmm, I hope you didn't go overboard, did you?" Kami asked seriously.

"No, Master I only sold enough to buy these," I replied as I showed him my waist bag and capsules.

"Hmm, as long as you do it modestly, it's okay," Kami said with a nod, "So you found this inside a crater, huh,"

"Yes, Master," I nodded, and then said, "Um, Master, what if this thing came from outside of Earth,"

After hearing my words, Kami went into deep thinking and closed his eyes, "Outside of Earth…. Outside of Earth….. an Alien,"

"AAH," Kami suddenly exclaimed in shock, "Could this be related to that guy who came here on Earth 7 years ago,"

"What are you talking about, Master?" I asked in confusion.

"It happened 7 years ago, Arlic, at that time an alien came to Earth, he came here to save Earth from another alien from a race called Saiyan,"

"He said Saiyans are an evil race that conquers planets, and this Saiyan is coming to conquer Earth, but at that time he said the Saiyan didn't come to Earth, did he miss this thing?" Kami pondered.

"But Master, why didn't you notice this thing entering Earth?" I asked doubtfully.

Kami sighed and said, "It was because of that idiot Alien, he had an apocalyptic virus bomb with him, that could easily wipe out humanity from Earth, so I had to put my entire focus on him, to make sure he doesn't use that bomb,"

"But Master, why didn't you meet that alien face to face at that time," I inquired.

Kami let out a sad chuckle and said, "Because that alien was stronger than both Mr Popo and me, so we couldn't directly do anything to him,"

"WHAT…. He was stronger than Mr Popo," I exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes, he was, and let me tell you another shocking news, that alien said that any average Saiyan can defeat him easily, so they should be even stronger than him,"

"Ev…. Even stronger… than him," I repeated as I lowered my head and my body started trembling.

"Arlic, are you… are you okay," Kami asked with a soft tone, "Arlic, are you… afraid?"

I raised my head and replied with a wide grin, "Afraid, no, I'm excited,"

"Excited?" Kami repeated in confusion.

"Yes, there is a whole new world for me to explore, amazing and advanced technical knowledge to understand, new techniques to learn, of course, I'm excited about it," I replied excitedly.

Kami sighed and mumbled, "Yes, I should have expected you to react this way,"

"I know you're excited to go out there and explore everything, but let me tell you one thing, Arlic, you're not strong enough for the world outside Earth,"

"So, let me advise you something, you need to get strong, strong enough to protect yourself from threats," Kami said seriously.

"Don't worry, Master, there is still time before I leave Earth to explore space," I reassured him.

"Okay," Kami nodded, and pointed at the Pod, "And what are you going to do with this thing?"

"I want to study it and understand how this thing works," I said as I got closer to the Pod.

"Maybe after my training finishes, I will go to Dr Brief and learn under him," I said and looked inside the Pod inspecting its inside.

"Hmm, what's this," I said as I noticed a small lever-like thing at the corner of the seat inside the Pod.

I tried to move the lever and it moved downwards.

A faint click sound came from the seat and it slowly moved upwards revealing a compartment below it.

Inside the compartment was a Scouter, a battle armour, and some underclothes.

'Yes, everything I wanted is here, my luck is incredible,' I thought excitedly.

"Arlic, did you find something inside that thing," Kami asked me.

"Yes, Master, look what I found inside," I said as I pointed inside the Pod.

Kami walked towards the Pod and looked inside, "Hmm, armour, clothing, and what is this, some kind of communicator,"

"So it truly belongs to an Alien," Kami said anxiously.

"Arlic, did you find someone living nearby where this thing crashed," Kami asked me seriously.

"No, the only people that I know that live near that crater are Grandpa Gohan and Goku," I replied.

"Hmm, Gohan and Goku," Kami muttered.

"Arlic, do you think that Goku might be that alien?" Kami asked me.

"Hmm, I don't think that idiot is smart enough to conquer Earth, so I don't think he's the one," I replied.

"Okay, then I will take that crater as the centre and then start my search for that alien," Kami said to me and I nodded.

"Now come let's go resume your training,"

I nodded and then put the Space Pod back into a storage capsule.

[9 Months Later]

{Age 745}

It has been 9 months since I found Goku's Pod and made Kami tell me about life outside the planet. And since then I have been training hard to show Kami my resolve to get strong. I wanted him to propose the idea to me to go and train in the otherworld.

"It's been a year since you came to the lookout, I thought you would take at least two or three years, but you learned everything in just one," Kami said with a chuckle.

"What now Arlic, do you wish to stay here or leave," Kami asked me.

"I wish to go outside and train under harsh conditions, Master," I replied and Kami sighed.

"But Master, before I leave, I wish to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber," I announced.

"I see, okay, I will let you enter it," Kami nodded.
