One more time - 1

Nah, I don't buy it.

I'm going to rest for the day.

Since all the dates were set to February 8, I switched them back to February 20. I could also see that my paper calendar still hung on January so I ripped the page off to display the current month.

"Did I really forgot even 'that' calendar?"

From my room, I went to the kitchen to have some breakfast, only find that the food I bought two days ago all disappeared.

"What the..."

Having no choice, I checked my wallet from my bag and saw that I still have my unspent money.

"Did Merk prank me? Brother?..." I called his name throughout the house but it didn't seem that he'd prank me this way. Also, there was not a single response, but would a culprit really respond?

I checked the outside of the house and it was really quiet, and our house had a small yard which had a gate which led directly on the street. It was eerily strange because there were no people outside.

There was not even a single breeze that wafted even after staying for a minute, as I looked if there would be people.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?"

I slapped myself on the cheek fiercely and the pain that stung me almost made me curse.

"Weird..."

The sudden loneliness hit me and I once more felt a bit of sadness before returning to my room.

"Such an elaborate prank. They knew about the rollback, then the dates on my PC and phone, even the paper calendar was restored. Then there's also the food and money. I know you're there, you can reveal the cameras now."

But even after that sentence, there were still no noises, and I could only hear the spinning fan at the corner of my room.

I suddenly frowned and checked my friend list instead.

There's StarQuincy09, but everyone I added from the main town disappeared. There's Locati, though. My other old friends that I don't know much also remained on my friend list.

I could assume that the recent ones had removed me to just further fulfill this prank, so I messaged Locati for now.

Locati [if today wasn't 8 then I would be offline right now]

Me [really?.....]

Locati [also exams are for next week right?]

Is it really all for real?

Me [you're..... not joking right?]

Locati [dude why would I do that?]

Locati [I just came home btw]

Locati [go pm me later after I eat]

His name's highlight disappeared after that and he went offline.

"Hahah... If it's not a prank and I really went back in time, then..."

I took a glance at the clock and saw that it was already 9 AM.

"Not good..."

Looks like I'll just have to skip the day and pretend sick then?

Of course, I wasn't entirely convinced still because it's just not real, isn't it? I mean, going back in time. How does it work anyway and what triggered it?

Those are my current thoughts but it didn't stop my stomach from getting hungry so I went out to the bakery, only to find it partially closed.

There were only a few items left, too.

"Looks like I haven't woke up early enough to buy some."

I passed the day and also got a fake medical certificate from a friend, before I went back home and took a bath.

The time I spent at the clinic took almost half a day already just to get to talk to the doctor my parents knew, and it really looked like it was still February 8.

Everything was a new perspective for me because it wasn't everyday that I skipped school nor visited the clinic, and I only took note of the calendars and clocks that told the time.

"Looks like everything really did turn back..."

But what caused it?

More importantly, I remember that I still haven't met Esyllt at this point in time, and once I remembered that fact I quickly ran towards home and sat on my PC.

It was already 3 PM when I got back, and going through the usual routine of opening the PC and the game, before checking out my friend list.

"It doesn't mean that she doesn't exist at this point of time, right?"

I added her character name on my friend list manually, 'LittleHunter' and it failed.

There are two possible things here, one is that her character doesn't exist yet, or she's either offline.

I left my PC as I pondered through all of the possibilities I could make at this rewarding time rewind.

"Sure enough, I could court her again but I'll have to remake the poems that I made... or I could make new ones, memorize them just in case I got sent back in time again or something."

I was so distracted by the fact that I was sent in time that I didn't even realize that I somehow got over the pain of break up last time.

Only one thought appeared in my mind, and that's to once more try my luck on her again.

This time I can also probably discover why she broke up with me, or if she really has to go to a different country.

The chance I have right now might also be just once, so I can't afford to make mistakes, too, as I'm not entirely sure if I'll have another chance to go back in time again.

I copied her character name and kept on pasting it, attempting to add her to my friend list.

It took me about thirty minutes before I gave up, as I already felt my fingers tingling from the repetitive action.

"This is boring to be honest."

I took a small break and checked the time before resuming spamming adding her name to my friend list once more, until I got fed up and went to my usual grinding spot instead.

What was strange was, there was someone already on my grinding spot and we had the same type of character.

I briefly saw that it was another GK with the same equipment as mine except for the hair so it made me curious. It's only too bad that she quickly used a teleport gem to disappear right away as soon as she typed.

"That was weird."

Just in case, I somehow had the urge to add the name to my friend list too.

"Kyuri, huh."

My request was accepted, and I could see the name on my list. I also added LittleHunter just to try once more...

...and it worked.

My heart started to thump heavier and faster and I wasn't sure how to reply.
