DEAD

I quickly followed the red liquid and it stopped right in front of mom's room. The door knob was covered with blood dripping down slowly from the handle. My heart began to beat faster and harder as i opened the door. There, i saw mom lying in the pool of her own blood.

"Mom!!!" I shouted as i ran towards her and lifted her head up to my chest. She opened her eyes and smiled at me. I didn't know what to do, I just sat there crying.

"Who did this to you? Huh just tell me who did it to you!!" I shouted at the top of my voice.

"He's go...n..e" she said taking in deep breath. She gave me her key - like necklace and told me to guard it well. Her eyes slowly closed and that was when i knew i had lost mom forever.

The Ambulance came but it was too late. The cops rushed into the house and all they found was me and the lifeless body of my mother. I couldn't utter a word. I sat there with tears streaming down my face.

I was taken to the police station and was ordered to spend the night there because i have no relative, none that i could think of. I was asked if i knew anyone that would have wanted mom dead. Mom didn't have enemies. She was one of the nicest people i know, so I just shook my head.

"She's dead, mom is gone and she is never coming back. I never thought I'd come home to meet her dead, if I had known, I would have never left her side this morning ". Those were the words that kept playing in my head. All of a sudden everything and everyone started fading away, my vision was blurry. It was all pitch black before i became unconscious.
