'Your mama always came to us with errands that we found out to be drug dealings. We were too young, you know? We barely knew what was right or wrong but Nate asked me to trust his mother and I had no other choice. He was my friend.' Desmond sighed.
'How could my mother use her son that way?' I raised a brow.
I thought about Pink and I knew that there was no chance in the world that I could expose her to anything that could harm her.
'She used me too. Your ma got really rich then but neither Nate nor I understood fully what was going on.'
'It all started one day when we delivered drugs and this guy made us take some. I think we were twelve. I saw your mama cry so much when she found out. She asked us to forgive her but she was not the person at fault.'
'Alicia? But how? If you were twelve, then she was ten.' I pointed out.
