'Yes, because I'm unmarried. This is my friend, George.' I replied to her.
'I am sorry. Well, congratulations Mr. George.' She left the room.
'She thought we were married, and she thinks the baby is yours.' I laughed.
'Wouldn't that be nice?' George looked at me.
'It sure would.' I laughed.
The nurse came into the room and took my blood sample, then she put the cold cream on my belly and began looking at the screen.
'Is everything okay?' I asked.
'The doctor will be with you shortly.' She responded.
After staring at the screen for prolonged minutes, she stood up and left. Shortly after, a doctor came in.
'Good morning mummy and daddy?' He turned to George and asked.
I had expected George to deny but instead, he shook his head in the affirmative.
'Okay, looks like it is all good with your baby, there is enough fluid at the back of its neck. Everything looks great.' He smiled broadly.
