Kolin staggered to me and I picked him up.
'He can walk?' Eric walked to where I sat.
'You missed all his firsts. You have no idea what is going on in his life anymore.' Alicia walked to the kitchen.
He picked Kolin up and pecked his cheek.
'You should respect her wishes, really.' I said.
He walked back to the couch and sat with Kolin in his arms.
'We can reach a middle ground.' He finally said.
Alicia had come back to the living room with a glass of water for everyone. She was still being nice to Eric, if I had been in her shoes, I would have ignored him.
'What middle ground is there to reach? A part of her comes for the party?' Alicia asked.
'No. You get to plan the party, choose the decorations and cake and attendees. You get to do everything your way but she comes. Please.' That was the first time he was pleading since the start of their argument.
