Eric said, “It’s colder than usual up here, isn’t it?” He grabbed Carlton and began to kiss him, but before he could really savor the kiss, they were thrown into the strongest episode they’d yet had anywhere on the property.

Ever since that first day at the creek, Wade and Moses had gotten together whenever and wherever they could, but most of their trysts had taken place in the cabin of Moses’ Aunt Sukey. Moses’ parents had died when they were quite young, and his aunt had raised him. She disapproved of, and was terrified by their relationship, but knew that they’d find a way to get together without her help, so she made her cabin available from time to time.
