Nebula mage

"Well, there's not a lot of jobs that a Nebula rank mage can do," Vee said with a grin on his face.

"..."

The face of the baldie changed as he turned to stare at Vee in shock.

"Y…you are a Nebula mage!?" He asked in disbelief.

To respond to his question, Vee did not speak and simply let out the energy of a Nebula mage which smashed against the walls of the elevator before quickly withdrawing it; he did not intend to damage the elevator.

The baldie stared at Vee with wide eyes for a few more seconds before managing to calm himself but he currently had a weird expression on his face as he did not know what to do next. He simply raised his hand and tapped on the elevator buttons a few more times, Vee saw this as well and a confused expression showed on his face.

"Why are we going to floor 35?" He asked.

"The fifth floor is for registering normal people who want to join the guild, the 35th floor is for mages," the baldie said, his tone no longer disdainful or cold like before.

"Oh" was all Vee said before turning quiet.

No one spoke to the other until the elevator arrived on the 35th floor where they came off.

"Follow me," the baldie said and walked in front.

They moved for a few seconds, passing several doors before coming to a stop in front of a massive door with nothing on it. The door was just that, massive and ordinary.

The baldie stopped in front of the door and knocked on it.

" Who's there?"

A cold female voice came from the room behind the door a few seconds after the baldie had knocked on it.

" Miss, there's someone here who wants to join the guild" the baldie responded, he sounded respectful to the owner of the voice inside the room.

" So? Why don't you handle it yourself?"

The female voice sounded again, Vee could faintly hear the annoyance in her tone.

" He's a mage, that's why I brought him here" the baldie answered, now clearly nervous.

'Whoever this woman is, she must be someone important' Vee thought to himself.

Silence followed for the next few seconds after the baldie answered the woman's question.

"Bring him in" the voice spoke after a few seconds before turning silent again.

The baldie let out a relieved sigh before turning to Vee.

"Follow me" he said in a low voice before pushing the door open and going in, Vee walked behind him.

Vee walked into a large office room with the baldie, the door closed shut behind them.

Inside was a spacious office that could easily hold fifty people without the space getting cramped up, a single large office table was placed in the middle of the office, and behind the table was a tall office chair.

A woman with long red hair sat on the tall chair as her eyes watched Vee and the baldie enter the office. She had sharp piercing red eyes and a stunning face that could make most men fall by just taking a glance at her, she wore a yellow mage robe with a leather belt just a level below her breasts and a pair of brown pants. She looked to be in her early twenties.

'A Mage King!'

Vee exclaimed inwardly when he realized that the red-haired woman was already at the mage king rank. His eyes drifted off to the other things in the office.

The spacious office was filled with…bookshelves!

Every corner of the office had a bookshelf that was fully stocked up with files and books, the office desk was the same as well as two small mountains of books could be seen on both sides of the desk.

"Are you done staring?"

A cold voice rang in Vee's head, causing him to bring his attention from the books in the office to the red-haired woman who was currently staring at him as well.

'What?' Vee asked inwardly but did not say it out and walked over to stand beside the baldie.

In front of the large desk were three chairs but neither of them sat, they just stood behind the chairs.

The woman stared at Vee for a bit longer before moving her eyes away, she dropped the pen that was in her hand on the open book in front of her before closing it. She looked exhausted despite being a mage king, Vee could only imagine how much paperwork could wear out a mage to this extent.

"Is he the one?" The woman asked as her eyes settled on the baldie.

"Yes, young miss" the baldie hurriedly answered, not daring to keep her in suspense.

"Mm, you can go" The woman nodded and waved at the baldie to leave.

The baldie bowed respectfully and scurried out of the office, leaving Vee alone with the woman.

"Ahh, that was exhausting" The woman suddenly let out a sigh as she stretched her arms, Vee remained silent and just watched her.

"Take a seat," she said with a yawn.

Vee sat on one of the three chairs in front of the desk, his eyes could not help but drift off to the two piles of books on the desk that were now taller than he was after sitting.

Scree!!

The woman pushed back her tall chair, stood up, and walked to one of the shelves on the side where she pulled out a file before walking back.

Vee had watched her every movement and could not help noticing how long her hair was, it reached all the way to her waist. She was also quite tall, taller than Bree at least. Her shape was also quite alluring, although she did not have the explosion shape of some female mages whom Vee had come across, her style wasn't bad at all and could be considered moderate.

The woman, oblivion to Vee's thoughts, walked back to her chair and sat. She rested her body on the tall back of the chair for a few seconds after dropping the file that she had brought with her on the desk, she was so tired that she wanted to take a nap but could not at the moment as she still had work to do.

She flipped open the new file and took hold of her pen before looking at Vee.
