It was the next day, and both Dion and Ye Jin were in the library. It was the first day of training.
Dion stood, a book floating by his side. Ye Jin stood across from him, clearly attentive to what he was teaching her.
Dion's arms were crossed as he explained. "Mana is the essence of life and the source of all magic. Though we differentiate between mana and magic, mana is fundamental. It flows within you, surrounds you, and binds the fabric of this world. Most people possess only a faint trace of it, which is why touching a mana crystal yields no reaction for them. However, a select few have more mana than the average. Yours," he said, his piercing blue eyes locking onto hers, "is slightly above average."
He paused for a moment, then continued, "Mana has countless uses, from creating barriers to enhancing physical strength. However, we have to begin with the most basic application: telekinesis."
