Chapter-4

Hisss

Max's senses heightened as an unusual sound echoed from above.

With a swift turn of his head, Max confronted a horrifying creature looming above him.

"What the-" Before Max could've said anything else, his words stopped in the middle of his throat as he looked at the nightmare walking above him.

Pitch-black eyes all over its head, green scales covering its head, and a long, snake-like tongue protruded from its alligator like face.

Hissssss

The creature's unsettling gaze left Max simultaneously shocked and terrified; it was clearly no earthly being.

In an unexpected twist, the creature extended its tongue and licked Max's right cheek as it tried to take him out of the hole with just his tongue.

A familiar sensation surged through Max, reminding him of the same sensation that he felt when his eyes were closed.

Crrrreeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkk

The creature wailed and struggled, attempting to force its oversized head into the same hole Max occupied, but it proved futile as it was too big to fit in.

"No... This can't be real. This can't be real. This can't be real. This can't be real. No way in the fucking hell is this thing real... Please lord... Don't do this to me." Max muttered in a panicked repetition, lowering his head to pray.

'I'm not on Earth... It wasn't a dream. All of that was true. But where am I? What is that thing above me?' Max's anxious thoughts raced, his body was drenched in sweat.

'Calm down Max, take deep breaths, and think about this. It can be solved, you just have to think hard.' Max thought.

After thinking for about 1 minute, An idea came to his mind...

"T-That Universal Eye skill should tell me something about this. Yes, Open Inventory..." Max commanded.

A notification appeared, disrupting his hopes.

[System is Offline for the next] [13:56 minutes] [Punishment Mode: On]

"Fuckkkkkkkkkkk!!!!" Max cursed loudly as tears started coming out of his eyes.

CREAKKKKKKKK

Thud

The creature's cries intensified as it clawed at the rocks around Max, attempting to breach and devour him.

"Please... I don't want to die like this. Please..." Max spoke as he started crying.

*Thud-Thud*

The creature continued to claw the rock without any stops.

Suddenly, Max felt something pricking to him inside his pocket.

Max immediately took out the thing and noticed that it was black pen without a cap.

As soon as Max holded the pen in his hands, He felt adrenaline rushing to his brain.

*Creeeeeakkkkk*

The creature shouted loudly as it was just a few inches away from biting Max's head.

"I am not going to die.... Take this, Motherfucker." Max shouted as he grabbed the pen tightly and stabbed it into the creature's eye.

*CREAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK*

The creature shouted very loudly, as it immediately backed off from the hole.

*KIUUUUUUUUUUUUU*

As soon as the creature backed off from the hole, an even bigger creature came flying down from the sky and grabbed the multiple eyed creature in his sharp claws, before taking off again.

Max was left shocked after seeing this view, his body was shaking in fear. Before Max could've thought of anything else, another notification popped up in front of him.

[Punishment Mode: Off]

[Transfer has started...]

Suddenly, Max's body disappeared from the hole and reappeared inside his office.

Haaaaaaaa...." Max gasped for air as he immediately looked around and noticed that he was back in his office.

"Fuck... Fuck... Fuck... How the fuck- ?!" Max shouted as he started panicking.

He immediately stood up from his chair and ran towards the water bottle vending machine.

Max inserts a dollar inside the machine and a bottle of water rolls out.

*Click*

Max picked up the water bottle, opened it immediately and emptied the bottle inside his mouth.

"What the fuck- was that ?!! It felt so real and this- Fuck !? I need to go home." Max spoke as he calmed down a bit and walked upto his cubical. He then picked up his coat and started leaving.
