A Day At The Spa

The back up team on land had arrived at the scene and they got busy with cleaning up. Removing the lifeless bodies of the enemy from the premises and around the perimeter, leaving no trace of evidence. Taking all with them to get rid of, when they return.

The air team had made it back to the helicopter with the witnesses in tow. Soon they were on their way back to the command center.

Back to Diviya….

Diviya was now enjoying a delicious steak dinner with Vanessa and Bridget. The body guards that were hand picked by Michael, was currently off to the side but still hovering closely enough.

They had tried to talk her out of dinning, convincing her to just grab the meal so we all can head back to the castle earlier, but Diviya had insisted and was not relenting on the matter.

She was out of the castle today, she had enjoyed herself thoroughly and she just was not ready to call it a day yet.

After Adonis left Diviya she waited in his office for about five minutes before Bridget popped in ready to be of assistance. Diviya had requested a spa day and she wanted to reach out to the witness she met on the day she arrived in Velia.

She had thought of reaching out to her soon and this seems like the perfect opportunity to do so.

Bridget was indeed skeptical about this as her main priority was Diviya's safety. Her future Queen. She had contacted Michael and they did a background check on Vanessa pulling her file.

The evidence showed that she was indeed harmless. Bridget had finally made contact and soon enough we were on our way to a day at the spa. The three of us of course, Bridget was not about to let me out of her sights.

She says she was just following orders, however Diviya did not mind it at all, she was more than happy that Bridget will be with her.

Diviya's new here, and she wanted to learn as much as she can from Bridget about what's next for her.

Bridget had insisted she contacted their usual spa and have them come to the castle as they had done countless times. But Diviya was not having it. She just wanted to be out of the castle for a bit.

Earlier she had made it to, and from the execution. She wanted to see more.

In the end they visited the spa, which was amazing. They all got side by side manicures, pedicures and massages. Diviya had promised to return for a facial.

All the while chit chatting, more Vanessa and Diviya, Bridget answered their curious questions.

Questions about the night life, where are the fun places? Like the best night clubs, the best places to hang out. Suddenly Diviya was feeling like an adult and wanting to suddenly experience things here. In their world.

Or just maybe she wanted to experience things here to learn a thing or two and not be so green next to Adonis. Though she can never catch up to him, but she want to experience more.

More questions on relationships with a human and one of the 'different kind'. This particular question came curiously from Vanessa this time.

Bridget had blushed as she herself had in the past had plenty of human playthings, both males and females. Nothing ever really serious and there was just a handful she tolerated more than the others.

"Bottom line, its not a big deal," Bridget had summed it up casually, shrugging her shoulders.

Moments later they had wrapped up things at the spa and soon they were on the move.

Bridget took them further into the city for a light tour. They had walked some of the popular streets and even made small purchases. Mostly Vanessa as Diviya felt like she had more than enough things already.

However she still came out with a new pair of heels and sunglasses. More to add to her closet.

Of course Bridget had paid, Adonis' request until my account is sorted.

Now they were at one of Adonis' restaurants called 'l'amour vrai' (true love), and they were busy chatting away as usual.

Diviya had learned a lot today from Bridget and somethings from Vanessa as well.

Vanessa had opened up about why she was here.

And now, today Diviya had really gotten to scope out Vanessa, she realize that Vanessa was actually a beautiful brown haired woman.

She has blue eyes, a beautiful shade of sky blue, it's very striking.

Obviously she was not even thinking about Vanessa's appearance the first time they met.

Nevertheless Vanessa was just another witness that needed protection. She had chalked it up as being at the wrong place at the wrong time where she witnessed a cold blooded murder.

Attention was pulled in the direction of the killer and the killer had fled, however she got a very good look at him and it turns out so did he. Because since then there had been a couple of attacks on her life.

She had seek out protective custody and outright stated she wanted to be here because it was the safest place she could be.

Vanessa had to leave her family behind, her life and friends, and she had to start anew. She needed to get a job now and she was ready.

She was done feeling sorry for herself and she started to be thankful and grateful that she still had life. It has been a month or so now.

Well as it turns out Diviya can relate somewhat, she did not witness a murder however..

"I found myself in need of protection as well..out of nowhere some group of highly trained assassins came after me not to mention killing my parents in the process. So I can definitely relate in the aspect of needing protection."

Vanessa had also realized she was grateful her parents was still alive, hearing Diviya's story. Her heart aches for Diviya.

Vanessa and Diviya bonded, Diviya shared. Though it stung to bring up her parents. They consoled each other. Her full name is Vanessa Hart and the only thing really obviously different is the fact that Diviya was not human.

But Vanessa was, so we all have to be careful with her. Well not so much me Diviya thought, she haven't tapped into her full gifts yet so she cannot do much harm. Well except for the two times something happened in her and one, she defended herself then the next time was raging jealousy, maybe.

So yea Vanessa was safe unless she tries to attack Diviya or touch her mate in a suggestive way. Or any type of way.

Where as a seasoned vampire can simply break Vanessa's shoulder by grasping her too hard for a human but what might be barely a gentle touch to a vampire.

Although the magical beings are already accustom to having humans amongst them. Plus even Bridget told us she has ample experience in dealing with humans.

Also they probably don't touch the help, so if there were any human employees they would not have to worry about being broken by a vampire. Or being scarred by an oversized wolf that cannot be controlled.

But then again they don't really seem like the type to look down on their help.

However in all her wonderings, yes her mind was full of new information on the different kind and suddenly she is an expert in looking out for her human friend well being and thinking of what can possible harm her. Because truth be told she would like having Vanessa around her more.

She almost forgot there is the cardinal rule. They cannot harm a witness. That rule is absolute.

A werewolf was recently executed for what he tried to do to me Diviya had explained in one of the conversations.

And they open up to each other some more as they continue to bond.

Bridget didn't have much input on the part about their witness experience as she was not a witness, however she gave her input here and there still interacting with them.

However sometimes Diviya had caught her observing Vanessa. Diviya did not know if she was observing Vanessa because she has suspicions of Vanessa? Or was it something else?

Nevertheless Bridget then told her what she really wanted to know but truly had gotten side tracked through out the day to even inquire about.

She had said that Diviya will start training tomorrow. In which Diviya was indeed surprised at how soon, while Bridget had assumed Adonis told her already.

Bridget had explained that it was for her safety. As Queen she needed to be able to defend herself.

She would also be training to become Queen of all Magical Beings. There were a series of courses and exercises she needed to complete in order to be his crown Queen.
