Mine

Rayhan jumped down from the yacht he had rented impatiently. Without wasting any time, Rayhan continued to run, hoping in his heart that he wouldn't be late.

His head hurt so much, On such a long journey, Rayhan didn't sleep at all and only thought about Rose.

Even though his heart could still feel the pain because of Rose's rejection, his little heart still hoped that if there was a misunderstanding between them the break between them wouldn't happen and Rose wouldn't betray him.

Hopefully so.

From the coast, Rayhan could see the mansion standing majestically not far from where he ran closer to the towering and sturdy gate.

As if welcoming him, the gate was unlocked and he was able to pass through easily.

A little more, just a little more until the front door which was no less large than the gate he had passed through before, a door that was beautifully carved and made of oak was closed tightly as if no one was allowed to enter it.

Still panting for breath, Rayhan pressed the bell button several times impatiently.

"Rose..." Rayhan called as he continued to press the bell.

"Rose..." Rayhan called again but there was still no answer.

Rayhan looked at the quiet surroundings, could it be that Sammy gave him the wrong address? Rayhan couldn't think anymore, he just kept pressing the bell until finally the door slowly opened wide.

And as he hoped, Rose opened the door for him.

"Rayhan..."

Like getting oxygen, Rayhan was so happy to see Rose that he wanted to immediately pull Rose into his arms but his steps stopped when he realized Rose's current state.

Rose was wearing a man's shirt, with her hair tied loosely and a reddish patch at the corner of her neck.

Does that mean Rose has...

"It seems like a guest was late arriving. It's a shame our wedding party ended yesterday."

Rayhan's previously broken heart had now turned into dust. William came over to Rose and immediately embraced her while still wearing his bathrobe.

Like a fool, even up to this moment Rayhan still doesn't want to believe what he is currently seeing.

"Your cell phone," Rayhan said with a heavy heart, While holding back his tears, he handed Rose's cell phone to Rose.

But before Rose's shaking hands had time to reach for it, William had already preceded her.

"Thank You," William said.

"Honey, you should take a shower. I know you like my scent but we are together all night long, we smell the same now, you don't need to keep wearing my shirt." William continued while kissing Rose's cheek warmly.

Rose couldn't answer anything other than running towards her room.

"Come in, it looks like your heart is hurt, I mean you are in pain." Invite William to step away from Rayhan who is still standing in the doorway.

William was right, his heart was sore and hurt and his heartache even made him feel like he was slowly being killed.

"What are you waiting for? Do you want to stay there? Then I'll close the door again." William said.

With a heavy heart, Rayhan stepped in and followed William's lead.

"Sit down, After this, we will have breakfast together. I still have business with my wife." William said, inviting Rayhan to sit down, and then he immediately left Rayhan alone.

William took the time to bring Rose a dress to wear from the next room before finally returning to his room.

When William entered his room, Rose was not there until he heard crying from behind the bathroom door. William immediately put the dress he was carrying on the bed and then without permission barged into the bathroom.

"What are you doing? Why did you barge in?" Rose screamed while roughly wiping the remaining tears from her eyes.

"Why can't I? I am your husband which means you are mine." William answered as he stepped closer to Rose.

William was in front of Rose now, he looked down to take a closer look at Rose's face and her puffy eyes.

William continued to move closer without saying anything while Rose couldn't dodge because her body was squeezed between the wall and William.

"Don't touch me!" Rose said softly while looking away when she felt William was going to kiss her.

Hearing William laugh softly made Rose even more afraid of what William would do to her.

"Go take a shower and stop crying if you want me to stay within your boundaries," William whispered a warning that sounded more frightening than anything.

Rose could feel William slowly moving away from her and then she heard the sound of the bathroom door opening.

With a little hesitation, Rose turned around and William had already left her. With shortness of breath, Rose tried not to cry as she took off her clothes one by one.

Rose had finished showering and as soon as she came out of the bathroom, she found William standing facing the window with a blank look.

"I want to put on my clothes, Please come out," Rose asked in a hoarse voice.

William turned his head for a moment then looked back at the window.

"It looks like a storm is coming. Rayhan should go home after the storm passes." William said.

Rose then stepped closer to William and looked out the window which showed clouds moving quickly over the expanse of the ocean.

"You're happy, aren't you?" William asked, Rose raised her head and looked at William confused.

"What do you mean?"

"That man still looked for you even when he knew his girlfriend had betrayed him."

"I never betrayed."

"But you have become my wife after dumping his proposal, in other words, you have betrayed him."

Rose's tears started to fall, and it couldn't be denied that what William said was true.

"Call me jealous, I don't like seeing my wife crying over another man," William said as he pulled Rose's body close to him and stared at her sharply.

"You are mine now and I don't like sharing what I already have. So stop crying over him and acting like you are suffering in front of him or me..."

Rose could feel William's strong hands lowering her bathrobe so that her bare shoulders were exposed and perhaps her bathrobe would have fallen to the floor if William's hands weren't around her waist.

William's hand then moved to caress Rose's face, sweeping his finger across Rose's temples down to her nose and landing on the surface of her lips.

William brushed his thumb across the surface of Rose's lips slowly, pressing it slightly and making Rose only able to hold back a groan.

Rose's tears began to fall again, she couldn't make a sound and could only cry while William's hand began to trail down her neck and lower.

"Stop..." Rose asked softly and William immediately stopped his hand when it almost touched Rose's breasts which were still half closed and then let go of Rose slowly.

Rose immediately adjusted her bathrobe and stepped back.

"If you want to know what the wound in my heart is, the wound comes from something I had but I couldn't take care of it and ended up losing it. For that reason, I will take care of 'mine' now so that I don't lose it again. And what I now have is yourself."

Rose's body fell limp, William was so cold it was like the wind blowing hard from behind the open window due to the strong force of the wind.

It was so cold that her whole body trembled feeling the coldness in William's heart.

"Put on your clothes, and don't go out if your eyes are still red or I will make sure this is the last time you see your lover," William said before walking away leaving Rose alone.
