Love in a cruel world

Sammy just came back from the restaurant to buy some food for him. Rayhan has passed his critical period but he is not yet conscious. At least Sammy was a little grateful because Rayhan was saved, but not only that, he was also grateful because Rayhan had not yet woken up today because he had just seen the news on television showing Rose and William's wedding procession when he passed the television screen installed in the hospital lobby.

"I shouldn't have approved of that girl's relationship with Rayhan from the start." He said regretfully after seeing at a glance how Rose was seen crying with emotion and many patients who looked happy to see that their 'national first love' had married a very rich man. A celebrity who is the heir to the throne will always be everyone's favorite, Who knows what would happen if Rayhan were in that position, Many people would be against it.

But still, Rose shouldn't have left Rayhan like that.

Sammy then chose to continue his steps toward the room where Rayhan was being treated.

"The chicken looks so delicious, I can't wait to eat it." Sammy smiled happily while peeking at the fried chicken he had just bought when he entered Rayhan's room without noticing that Rayhan was sitting on his nursing bed while staring at the television which was showing news about Rose and William's wedding.

"Are you awake?"

Sammy hurriedly stepped closer and turned off the television.

Rayhan turned his head, his face looking flat and expressionless while Sammy felt anxious because he was afraid that Rayhan would become shaken again.

"I am hungry." Rayhan's words unexpectedly made Sammy startled, and confused. Rayhan wasn't angry, he looked normal after seeing the news about Rose on television.

"I'll buy you porridge then." Said Sammy who immediately rushed over, he didn't want Rayhan to change his mind and get angry.

"My digestion is fine, I don't like eating porridge, just give me the food you brought!" Rayhan said while glancing at the food bag in Sammy's hand.

"Okay, I'll prepare it," Sammy answered, immediately pouring the fried chicken he bought onto a plate and giving it to Rayhan.

"Eat slowly." Sammy reminded him because Rayhan ate very quickly and seemed to be in a rush, especially as his wrist was still bandaged and the wound was still wet, but Rayhan didn't look in any pain at all.

Regardless of Sammy's words, Rayhan continued to eat very heartily until finally he suddenly stopped eating as tears started to fall.

"They called it a national couple, and called me a poor man," Rayhan said softly.

Rayhan wake up an hour ago when Sammy went to buy food, he was alone and feeling bored so he turned on the television and all the television stations were reporting about Rose and William's wedding which had just been released today, not only that, the infotainment program also reported on it and said if he is a masked man whose proposal was rejected by Rose and ended up trying to commit suicide.

How cruel this world was to him, no one was on his side.

"I was the poor guy who got dumped." Rayhan repeated once again which felt very painful.

Sammy couldn't comment, he could only hug Rayhan and strengthen him.

"I was the one who was abandoned but I was also to blame, They called me unworthy of Rose, I'm just a street kid who happens to be lucky to have talent and will remain like that, I'm still a man without a family who doesn't deserve a love from someone like her," Rayhan said quietly while trying to keep eating so that his heartache would lessen, but still, Rayhan couldn't contain his sadness and heartache.

"At least I walk on my own feet. I never ask for the mercy of others to support me. I have everything, I have because of my abilities, isn't that enough to make me worthy? Tell me Sam, how do I become worthy?" Rayhan finally burst into tears, his heartache couldn't be contained every time his pride was hurt.

Now Sammy regrets it, he should have hidden Rayhan's identity and not told the public that Rayhan was a talented street kid. Initially, Sammy thought that all of this would help Rayhan get to the highest position because he achieved his dreams with his abilities, but it turned out that all of this backfired on people who always looked at the honor of their family tree.

"How do I become worthy?"

"How do I get off this island?" Rose muttered lazily, she lay down right on the sand on the beach and let her dress get wet from the crashing waves.

"The waves won't even drag me away from this island." Rose continued.

"You said you like the sea, Why do you look frustrated?" Asked William who came and stood right next to Rose's body which was still lying down.

"I love the sea and everything here except you," Rose replied curtly then got up and walked away from William.

"I also like this place, including you," said William as he followed Rose's steps.

William's words made Rose glance sarcastically at him.

"Likes me? How much?" Rose asked, stopping in her tracks and looking at William challengingly.

"As much as you hate me," William answered smiling.

What's with that answer? Rose felt her heart suddenly pound, but she ignored it and chose to continue walking.

But she couldn't, Rose couldn't ignore her pounding heart, especially when William suddenly put his clothes she and made Rose's wet clothes covered by William's clothes.

Rose turned around, William was now shirtless, his arms were outstretched to embrace her shoulders tightly.

"Are you showing off your muscles now?" Rose asked, letting William walk with her while continuing to embrace her.

"Correct," William said without turning around.

"Why, are you fascinated?" William continued asking teasingly.

"Fascinated until I want to vomit."

Hearing Rose's answer made William chuckle softly "I haven't even touched you but you can get pregnant just looking at me like this?"

Oh come on, maybe William will have a stomach ache if he doesn't become annoying for one day.

"You think we'll have kids?" Rose asked, She stopped in her tracks and looked at William seriously.

"You will forever live with me?" Rose asked once again.

William didn't answer, in fact, he didn't know how to answer the question Rose asked.

"Don't worry, we'll be apart soon, but before that, I'll make sure you fall in love with me," Rose said, She smiled with sparkling eyes covering the pounding heart that she still couldn't control, then took off William's clothes and gave them back to William.

"Don't expect to manipulate my feelings with your attention." Rose continued before walking away from William.

"I'm not manipulating you. I want to pay attention to you." William said just as Rose was about to open the mansion gate and stopped her steps once again William put his shirt over Rose's wet back and made her clothes transparent.

"Don't ask what the reason is, maybe I've been attracted to your game." William continued before stepping through the gate, leaving Rose still standing frozen in front of the gate.
