Working at the store

One week later;

In a music store owned by Sa-Eun, five to six girls who were wearing their high school uniform gathered on the first floor around a grand piano that was displayed at a corner and started taking pictures or videos.

Meanwhile, beside the piano, stood a father and daughter pair, enjoying the music as Jun continued to play a piece of Mozart's works, keeping a smile on his face.

As the piece reached the climax, he suddenly stopped for a second and ended with a powerful tone, surprising the little girl before he stood up and gave a bow while the girls cheered…

"Jun Oppa, what is its name?" asked a familiar girl, who usually comes to the store after her school hours, just so that she can take a peek at Jaemin.

"Sonata no.10, isn't it?" replied the man, instead of Jun.

Upon hearing him, at first, Jun was taken aback but then, thinking that the customer must have atleast knowledge about Mozart's works since he is buying a piano that costs more than fifteen thousand dollars, Jun nodded, "Yes. Cmajor, K. 330."

The customer then also gave a nod, "good. I don't find any problems with it. I'll buy it. When will it be delivered to the house?"

Looking at his watch, Jun answered, "It's already five. So, it might be difficult to deliver it right now. We'll deliver it in the morning." And before the customer replies, Jun spoke further, "but are sure you want to buy this? A grand piano isn't recommended for beginners. Moreover, 88 keys will be a bit too much to handle for the kids."

Hearing it, the customer waved his hand, "Ah, it's ok. My daughter is a genius… right?" The man then patted the five-year-old girl's head, who was fascinated by the appearance of the piano.

"Is that so…" Jun stopped trying to persuade him and took him downstairs to the counter, where his mother was handling the bills, "Sajangnim, this Ajhussi bought Steynar K15."

"Eh, K15 model?" Sa-Eun was taken aback as she heard one of their costliest instruments in the store was sold just like that, and she was even more shocked that her son was the one, who did the job.

Realizing the customer was before her, she quickly composed herself and spoke with a smile, "18 million won ($16300). The delivery charges are free as long as the destination is in the city. Will you pay in full or in EMI? We offer no-cost EMIs for Shinhan Bank, DBG Financial group, IBK, or Bank of Seoul Credit Cards."

As his mother was explaining details, meanwhile, Jun walked towards the 'Resonance' albums section and stopped before it.

As he takes an album from the row, a sigh escaped from Jun, 'this poor boy. He missed a great chance of becoming an idol. If it wasn't for the accident, this current face of mine would have been inside of it.'

Putting it back, Jun left upstairs and grabbed a chair to sit down. "Aria, show Character menu."

"Ugh… I'm practicing my singing skills every day," mumbled Jun as he grabbed his forehead in frustration. "Even after a week, my Vocal skill increased by only 0.1, unlike strength…"

"Sigh…" Stretching his legs, Jun sighed as he stared at the ceiling, "I guess, it's hard to improve my vocals unless there's a mission. Why doesn't the system just give me a daily mission of singing practice instead of running…"

*Ring*Ring*

All of a sudden, Jun's thoughts were disturbed by a phone call, ringing in his pocket.

"Hmm?"

Looking at the number, a frown appeared on Jun as he doesn't wish to pick up, yet, in the end, he was forced to pick up after she called him again, "Hello?"

"Hey Jun, it's me, Somi…" said the girl in a cheerful tone, from the other end who just returned to her home, finishing her work at the hospital.

"Ah! Yes, Sunbae… Sorry, I didn't save the number. So, I thought it's not important," replied Jun respectfully, unsure of how to behave with her because of missing memories of the past that also erased her picture from his mind.

Upon hearing the respectful tone, a sigh escaped from her lips followed by a couple of seconds of silence as she takes a heavy breath before she spoke seriously, "let's meet up at the usual spot, at seven. We need to talk."

"Ah! Yes. Sure. But where…"

Before Jun was about to complete his sentence, the call was cut off from the other side, leaving him in a daze. "Where is that spot, anyway?"

Without thinking much, Jun opened KakaoTalk and quickly sent a message.

*Buzz*

In no time, he received an unexpected reply with an angry emoticon and then followed by...

Somi: Nevermind. Forget it.

Soon after that, Jun realized that his mobile number was blocked on her KakaoTalk.

"This kind of behavior..." Jun was taken aback by the sudden change of situation, and mumbled, "Were the two of them, perhaps a couple, not close friends?"

When Jun realized about it, he scoffed, "Is he an idiot? He was supposed to debut as an idol and want to date? And that girl… Does she expect a patient who was in a vegetative state for four years to remember their so-called usual spot… Is this a movie?"

Shaking his head, Jun put back the phone in his pocket, "Sigh… foolish people… Anyway, there's still seven days till the audition. I need to increase my practice hours."

An hour later;

"What! You want to sleep here for the night? Are you crazy?" Sa-Eun shouted at Jun, in surprise, upon hearing her son doesn't want to return home with her.

"a-ni-yo (No)… I just want to stay here and practice. Here, I have sufficient instruments and equipment. Not to mention, with no one to disturb, it's easy for me to practice my vocals. There's only a week left, mom… Please, let me stay here…"

Staring at him in silence for a while, Sa-Eun handed the keys, "one condition. You have to return before midnight…"

"Here…" After giving him the keys as well as the cash to eat dinner outside, Sa-Eun left for home, leaving Jun at the store, all alone.

Closing the doors, Jun flexed his fingers, "okay. Let's start some serious training."
