Aiden looked at her in confusion.

"I am going to start by preparing the ingredients and then I will show you what to do." Rias said.

"Okay..."

Aiden followed her instructions and started to gather the ingredients together. After gathering all the ingredients, he put them into the furnace and began to refine them.

"Do you know how to prepare the ingredients?" Rias asked.

"No, I don't." He said.

"Then, I will have to teach you, let's start." She said.

After 10 minutes of learning from Rias, Aiden finally finished refining the ingredients.

"Alright, he ingredients that you will use for your first potion are refined." Rias smiled at him and patted his shoulder.

She took out a glass bottle filled with brownish red liquid that was slightly cloudy.

"The essence of the ingredients that you refined is not bad, it can be used for several things, it is very suitable for this particular potion. You just need to adjust the ratio and change the way it is mixed. Now, you can proceed to mix it with the other ingredients and form a pill." She explained.

"..." He nodded.

"For the first time, it is better to try and make a simple potion first. It is easier to make a simple potion and then expand your knowledge to more complicated potions later. So, let's start." Rias said.

She took the glass bottle from the furnace and poured the potion into it.

"Now, we need to put the plant extract inside of this flask, then seal it and then pour pure the water into it after it is boiled." She explained.

Aiden did what she said and placed the plant extract into the flask and closed it.

"We need to boil the mixture over fire, so we are going to place this flask in the furnace." She said.

After placing the flask into the furnace, she left it inside for a short period of time.

"After 30 seconds, we are going to remove the flask from the furnace, take out the flask and pour pure water into it." She explained.

Aiden did what she said and removed the flask from the furnace, poured the pure water into it and then sealed it.

"Now you can prepare the potion by adding the other igredients." She said.

Aiden did what she said and added the remaining ingredients into the flask.

"You can now close the flask and put it back in the furnace," She said.

After putting the flask back in the furnace for another 30 seconds, she removed it from the furnace and poured the potion into a glass bottle.

"Alright, the potion is ready." She said.

Aiden looked at the potion in amazement. The potion was clear and its color was almost like blood.

"Wow! This is amazing!" Aiden exclaimed.

Rias smiled at him and passed the glass bottle to him.

"Now, you can drink it." She said.

Aiden opened the glass bottle and smelled it. It had a strong scent of herbs and spices.

He took a sip and immediately felt a tingly sensation of warmth in his stomach.

"It tastes great!" He exclaimed.

He looked at Rias and gave her a big smile.

"That's why we mixed salt and other things in it." Rias smiled back.

"Thank you for teaching me, Master!" He thanked her happily.

"Don't mention it, now let's move on to making more potions." Rias said.

"Yes, ma'am!" Aiden replied enthusiastically.

After making several potions, Aiden finally mastered the basic technique of potion making.

"I'm done!" Aiden said proudly.

He grabbed the glass bottle with the potion inside of it and looked at Rias.

"Congratulations, Aiden." Rias smiled at him and patted his shoulder.

"I want to make more potions right away!" He was really enjoying making potions with Rias at this moment.

"No, this much is already good, now I will teach you how to make pills." She said.

"Pills? Can't I use the same method as I did here?" He asked with raised brows.

"No, this is different. Pills are made differently than potions. The ingredients have to be purified and mixed properly to create a single pill. And they have to be made using different methods." She explained.

"But I know how to do everything required in the preparation process, so won't it be easy?" He asked.

"Yes, that's true... But you have to do it within a short period of time." She said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because of the time limit, there are many things you need to remember when making pills. So, it is best if you think about each step carefully before doing them." She explained.

"Ok, then, I'll start." He nodded.

After thinking for a while, he came up with a plan of action.

"I will prepare the ingredients and put them into the furnace. Then, I will make sure that the ingredients are well-researched and purified so that my pill's effect will be better." He looked at her, making sure that his idea was good.

"Yeah, you can do that to make the pills more effective." Rias answered his expectant gaze.

"Okay..." He was very excited and couldn't wait any longer.

Rias placed more ingredients on the ground and spoke.

"You can now start, the first pill that you make will be the 'Marrow refining pill'." She handed him a recipe book and opened the page with the title 'Marrow refining pill'.

"I hope that you will be able to concoct it in the first try..." She gave him a pat on his head and then silently sat down on his bed.

"I am confident enough..." he replied with a look of confidence on his face.
