Zera was left to stare at her alarm. She contemplated whether it was worth getting out of bed and eating when she had no appetite.
It was Saturday. Avalon had nothing planned on Saturdays.
The gown fitting for the wedding wouldn't be until next week, and Zera would have appreciated the lazy day if not for her haunting thoughts regarding what went down last night.
Touching her lips, Zera tried not to think about what had almost happened.
"I really want to kiss you right now."
Xavier's husky voice sent goosebumps to crawl on Zera's skin. She looked at the ceiling and tried not to think about the what-ifs.
"You're still a minor, Zera," she mumbled. "Get a grip. Ugh."
Finally finding the resolve to get out of bed, Zera proceeds to get inside the bathroom to wash her face and prepare a decent meal.
If she was to do nothing, she might as well clean the house. For some reason, that's what adult people do.
