“What did you do?!” she exclaimed, her breathing becoming unsteady. The reflection of a woman with white long hair braided all the way at the back and had three horns protruding on top of her head mimicked her expression. The water rippled a little but the image staring at her remained the same. Her complexion almost blinded her with the vast whiteness that stretched around her. Turning her head from left to right, she found nothing and no one to help her understand what happened. “What did you do?!” she bellowed. [Welcome Priestess! Beatrix half-expected never to open her eyes again. She imagined the kind of pain that would erupt in her body once the blade made contact.

However, when none of that happened, Beatrix had no choice but to open her eyes.

Astherielle did the same. The two friends hugged each other as they stared at the blade frozen mid-air.

They exchanged nervous glances, wanting to have an answer to their queries but finding none at the moment.

Gently letting each other go, they got on their feet.

Hand in hand, Beatrix and Astherielle walked away from the blade, evading it so much that they stuck on the wall just to make it to the other side.

Slowly, a bluish light appeared from one corner, tracing a human figure.

When the form had taken shape, Beatrix and Astherielle stared at the man standing before them. He was dressed in white, and his skin was blindingly fair. It was almost impossible for them to keep looking at him.
