Trainer Licenses were separated into different classes, similar to Pokémon threat levels.
S-Class > A-Class > B-Class > C-Class > D-Class > E-Class > F-Class.
F-Class trainers were beginners who had just started their journey and knew little about handling a Pokémon. Moreover, if not rankers who the League funded, these trainers found it hard to feed their Pokémon. Therefore, these trainers only had a carry limit of three Pokémon.
After F-Class came E-Class trainers, also known as Adept Trainers.
There were two ways one could graduate from being an F-Class Trainer: Earn 1 Gym Badge or be a trainer for one year before taking a promotion exam in one of the League-authorized Pokémon Centres. Aeron, who won his first Gym Badge, was automatically promoted to an E-class Trainer. And, of course, it came with many benefits, the best of which was an increase in Carry Limit.
While F-Class trainers could only carry three Pokémon, an E-Class Trainer could carry six. Aeron, who also had Silver Perks on his Trainer License, had a +2 on his Carry Limit, bringing it to a total of 8.
Similarly, if one doesn't want to be a Pokémon Trainer but Co-ordinator, they need 1 Ribbon to graduate from being an F-Class trainer to an E-Class. And if one had 1 Gym badge and 1 Ribbon...it was still counted as E-Class.
'I got a lot of Pokémon in a small timeframe. It worried me that I might run out of Carry Limit, and then I would not have any place to keep my Pokémon.' Aeron looked intently at his Carry Limit of eight. Two more, and he would have a full team, while four would fill his roster. 'I need to figure out where to keep my Pokémon if they are not on me.'
There would come a day when his Carry Limit would be less than the amount of Pokémon he had. He could not just keep them locked in their Pokeballs for days.
Aeron took a deep breath and cleared his mind.
'That is a thought for later. I should start my Psychic Training.' Since the girls stayed over last night, he could only do physical training.
Psychic Energy started spreading out from his body before it reached and opened his bag. Several rocks began floating out of it and hovered around Aeron.
"...ra...?" The yellow fox woke up when he felt Aeron's Psychic powers exit his body, and since it was a Psychic-type, it could easily feel the power hidden behind it. Even though it was a baby, the basic knowledge imprinted in its genes gave it common sense. The power behind that Psychic-Energy was not something a human should have...
"...ra..." With one last look at its trainer, Abra closed its eyes and fell asleep again, absorbing some of Aeron's Psychic Energy.
The rest of the night was spent by Aeron, silently meditating, and he did not notice the passage of time until there was a knock on his door.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Chansey?"
Aeron opened his eyes, and the rock flew back into his backpack. 'I need something better for training my Psychic Powers. Maybe some of the held items used by Psychic Pokémon?'
He stood up from his bed and walked toward the door.
"Hi, Chansey." Aeron patted the pink egg, giving him a sweet smile before pointing toward the lobby.
"Chansey Chan!"
"Good morning to you as well."
"Chansey!"
"Thank you for reminding me."Aeron squatted down and hugged the Pokémon before rubbing its head.
"Chansey!" The egg Pokémon was happy with his gesture and immediately waved goodbye before leaving for work. It had been coming daily, reminding Aeron when breakfast was served so he could be the first. It all started when Aeron gave it a few head pats.
"I should get a shower first." Aeron stretched his arms and walked in before an evil smile appeared on his face. He looked at his Pokémon silently sleeping and then at the washroom door.
His eyes changed colour, and a slit was formed in them. Psychic Energy spread out from him and opened the washroom door before it turned the tap open. Aeron used all of his focus and created three bubbles of Psychic Energy that held cold water. The Psychic Energy turned off the tap before the Psychic Bubbles floated out of the washroom and hovered over the heads of his three Pokémon.
"...ra...?"
Abra opened its eyes, noticed what Aeron was about to do, and chuckled. But the yellow fox didn't know it was spared for now since it was still in the baby stage...it was safe...for now.
"Alright, guys, wake up," Aeron spoke to his three Pokémon, who just turned to the other side while making small grunts. They seemed to have said the same thing.
'Five more minutes.'
"Hehe." Aeron gave an evil laugh before he clicked his fingers and withdrew his Psychic Energy.
*Splash*
"..."
"..."
"..."
"AXEWWWW!"
"TAAAAAA!"
"WUUUU!"
The three Pokémon howled as cold water was splashed on their faces, and they jumped into the air, almost hitting the roof. They all landed back on the ground and looked at Aeron, who was recording everything with his Pokedex and laughing his ass off. The trio looked at Abra, who returned to sleep before turning toward Aeron.
"Xew?" Axew asked its two brothers, who nodded their heads.
"Wait..." Aeron noticed the heavy atmosphere and immediately took a step back. "It was just a joke...you guys love me, right?" The three Pokémon nodded their heads. "So, we good?" But he got no reply to that.
Axew, Growlithe and Larvesta jumped toward him while using different [Moves] in a very weak state.
"Fuck..."

"Why are you sulking?" Misty asked as she stood beside Aeron, waiting for Nessa at the exit of Greenwich Town.
Aeron gave a small sigh before he explained. "I got into trouble with Nurse Joy for fooling around in the room and almost destroying it all..."
Misty was shocked, but then she remembered the noises from the room beside hers. "Don't tell me you all used [Moves] within the room." She asked, but when she saw Aeron looking away, trying to dodge the question, she knew she was right. "Oh my god! Did you..."
"It wasn't so bad...maybe?"
Misty just shook her head and sighed. "Be thankful Nurse Joy only scolded you and not fined or left a negative star on your trainer license."
Aeron nodded in agreement before looking toward the girl walking toward them. "Did you get it?"
"Yup!" Nessa took out a Pokeball and showed it to her friends. "Bea just transferred it back to me. Are you ready?" She asked while looking at Misty with a challenging grin. "Nayla might have a competition."
"Tsk! Not so fast." Misty smirked, knowing her Nayla was the strongest Pokémon among all the Pokémon three of them had. Nessa knew it too, but she was also confident in her Pokémon.
"Don't keep us waiting." Aeron looked at her with a smile as he was eager to see Nessa's second Pokémon. It was also the one she trained for the Gym and received from the League after passing the Regional Exams.
"Let's get away from here first." Nessa pointed at trainers going in and out of Greenwich Town. "A Pokémon not from Kanto will grab a lot of attention, and this guy loves to show off."
Aeron and Misty agreed with her before the trio backtracked their way to Diglett Cave. They planned to reach Pewter City before midnight and leave for Florian Town the next day.
"Let's rest and restart after a quick snack." Once they were halfway across their journey, they decided to take a small break. Aeron and Misty turned toward Nessa as if telling her to release the Pokémon.
"Behold." Nessa grinned and threw the Pokeball into the air. "Come out, Drednaw!"
"NAWWWWW!"
A seven feet tall and six feet wide. It stood on all four legs with a huge armoured shell on its back. It had a weird horn on its head, legs and tail. Its menacing eyes washed over Aeron and Misty before they landed on Nessa.
"Wassup!" Nessa had a slight grin as she looked at the Drednaw. The giant turtle looked at her before it stepped forward.
Bang
Bang
Bang
Bang
Each step it took created small tremors and left footprints on the ground. It stopped right before Nessa before it opened its mouth and bit Nessa's head.
"What the F*ck?!" Misty was so shocked her jaw almost dropped to the ground. Aeron was a bit calmer since he could tell the Drednaw was making sure its sharp teeth did not touch Nessa's head.
"Naw!"
"I missed you as well." With her head still in Drednaw's jaws, Nessa raised her hand and rubbed its armoured neck.
"Naw!" The giant turtle let go of its trainer and plopped down, enjoying the rubs. It turned toward Aeron and Misty before asking. "Naw?"
"They are my travelling partners and my best friends." Nessa pointed at the orange-haired girl. "She is Misty." She looked toward the boy. "And he is Aeron."
The giant turtle looked at the two friends of its trainer and stood up. It tried to flex its muscles and look tough.
"Drednaw."
"Aren't you an arrogant fellow?" Misty could see the arrogance in Drednaw's eyes, which she had also seen in her Gyarados. But the arrogance was well deserved. Even though the giant turtle was not as strong as her Nayla, it was stronger than her Wartortle by a large margin.
"Naw!"
Drednaw let out air from its nostrils, but it was immediately smacked in the head by Nessa.
"You still haven't changed?"
"Naw..." The giant turtle gave a sheepish smile making the three trainers chuckle.
"You should meet others as well." Nessa took out her Pokeballs and called out her Pokémon.
"Seeea!"
"Preee!"
"Sea?" Horsea jumped into Nessa's arms, but when it saw Drednaw, its eyes opened wide, and a huge smile bloomed on its face. "SEAAAA!"
"Naw!" The two Pokémon had a small reunion before the armoured turtle looked at the Pidgey sitting on Nessa's head. "Dred?"
"She is a new member of our family." Nessa nodded to the Pidgey, and the bird Pokémon flew over to the armoured turtle.
Drednaw lowered its head, and the Pidgey landed on top of it. "Naw."
"Pree."
"It is more friendly than I thought." Aeron looked at Drednaw, who was trying to make Pidgey comfortable with its presence. Horsea had known Drednaw for a long time, but it was different for the little bird.
"Even though it loves to act arrogant and show off, Drednaw is very sensible. He picked up that habit when we used to do Gym Battles. It was one of the ways it could intimidate opponents and piss off trainers."
"Let's introduce him to the rest of the gang?" Misty asked with a smirk.
"Sure."
Aeron and Misty immediately called out their Pokémon.
"Axew?"
"Lar..."
"Woof!"
"...ra..."
"War?"
"..."
Axew and Wartortle were surprised by the giant turtle standing before them, while Larvesta was shy. Abra, as usual, was sleeping, and Growlithe was super excited to make a new friend.
However, everyone could sense the heavy atmosphere as the two giants looked at each other.
Bang
Bang
Bang
Bang
Horsea and Pidgey jumped off from Drednaw as it approached the giant sea serpent.
"Grrrr."
Gyarados looked at Drednaw mockingly while the giant armoured turtle glared at it.
"Naw!"
Aeron, Nessa and Misty knew a fight was sure to break out. Both Pokémon were powerful and could feel the other Pokémon's strength. They were trying hard to control the urge to jump at each other and start a fight.
Everyone looked at the two giants before Aeron suggested.
"How about we have a Pokémon Battle?"
