'I knew it was a bad idea to come out here. Sigh' With that thought, Headmaster Leon could only try his best to defend himself from the attack of a crazed, mother bear. "Doria, don't be so stubborn. I swear this side of you had never changed. Although cute in the past, now you just seem petty. You know that isn't what I meant. I'm just saying, the boy played around with something far too dangerous. Honestly, I don't even know what he did and probably can't even replicate it myself."
Hearing this man who was once so familiar but now just a distant stranger bring up things from the past, Doria softened her expression a little. Although reluctant, she had long ago realized that it wasn't really anyone else's fault besides her own son that he ended up laying in an infirmary bed. "Fine. Now move out of the way, I want to see my son."
"Mhm I'll lead you to where it is."
"No need. Mr. Prestigious must be busy with other matters. I used to attend this school as well so I still remember how to get there on my own. I've been there enough times visiting a certain someone to know the way there like the back of my hand."
At the mention of a 'certain' someone, both people were absorbed into their own thoughts, each thinking their own things about whoever that someone may have been and how they were doing. Once they came back to their senses, Headmaster Leon excused himself before withdrawing back to his office while Doria rode on Arcanine through the halls of the school so that she could reach the infirmary a second faster.
Opening the doors, Doria was about to rush inside when she noticed her friend Hannah and her husband, Lucien standing at the edges of the door not going any further inside. Noticing that her friend had made it, Hannah smiled and held up a finger towards her mouth, the universal sign for 'quiet'. Taking Hannah's cue, Doria didn't say anything but looked in the direction the other two parents were looking at. Finding the scene before her way too picturesque, she took out her Pokephone and Click! took a picture of what seemed to have been prince and a princess who had crawled out of a child's book.
At the loud, audible sound of the Pokephone's camera shutter, the little princess woke up and rubbed her eyes. Wiping the drool off her lips, she reached up and stretched from side to side before propping her head onto her hands that were on the bed. The bed that a certain boy was currently laying on because he was trying to keep his promise to her. Almost like a sixth sense, Ally felt someone's gaze on her, so turning in its direction, she came across 3 sets of eyes that were all staring back at her.
Gulp…KYAAAA!
Ally screamed as loud as she could and then hid her face between the recess of her arms trying her hardest to turn invisible. When she had followed the gaze that was on her, she found that her parents and Jax's mother were all staring back at her. Not only that, her mother even had her Pokephone out and was taking a video! 'Since when!? Did they see me sleeping on Jax? Wait, no! What about my drool!? KYAAA! They didn't see me staring at Jax while he was sleeping did they? What if they think I'm a p-p-pervert!'
With such a piercing scream right by his side, Jax slowly stirred awake. Ally was still resting her head in between her arms on the bed so she didn't notice that Jax's eyes under his eyelids were beginning to move around. Trying his hardest to get up, Jax couldn't seem to move the blanket. Becoming frustrated, with one hard tug, Jax flung the blanket off the bed and then something else landed on top of him.
OOF…!
Opening his eyes, Jax was greeted by the sight of an angel? "Um. I must have died earlier from Vioarr's attack. So this is heaven. I knew angles were beautiful, but I didn't know they could transcend even that. Good morning, Ms. Angel." The onlooking parents just giggled at the boy's remarks while one of them still had their camera rolling.
"Hmmm? Wait, this angel looks way too familiar." Taking a glance at his surroundings, Jax then put the pieces together. This wasn't heaven at all! He somehow survived Square 1, fell unconscious and must have been carried back to the infirmary. As for why Ally was on top of him? He had no idea, but he had no thoughts about pushing her off. Wrapping his arms around the angel, Jax wanted to keep playing the confused wounded patient a while longer.
"Hmph! Faker!" With a humph, Ally pushed off Jax's chest before looking at her mother one last time before storming out of the room down the hall. Wanting to leave the mother alone with her son for moment, the other two parents rushed after their angry little princess. 'No! Please don't leave me alone with her!' Alas, no one could hear the boy's thoughts.
Sob…sob…sob…
Instead of berating her son, Doria just stood at her exactly spot, not moving a muscle and just letting the tears fall down her face. Seeing his mother in such a vulnerable state, he pushed his tired body off the bed and slowly made his way towards his mother. Once he was close enough, Jax wrapped both arms around his mom and just held her while she cried. 'If someone walked in right now, they would have thought that I was just resurrected.'
After 10 minutes of the duo just hugging each other without a single word being exchanged, Jax finally opened his mouth first. "I-I'm sorry, Mommy. I was a bad boy. I-I made a promise and I didn't want to break it. So…so I did something a little, tiny bit, teensy weensy bit, dangerous. But! But! But! Look! I still have all four limbs, each one with their respective fingers and toes all accounted for!" Listening to her son spout nonsensical words, Doria smiled softly before simply raising her hand and…SMACK! Hit Jax on the head again.
