Chapter 2

"Jax, baby, hurry and get ready or you will be late on your first day!"

"Okay, mommy! I am almost ready!"

Jax has been in this world for over 5 years already. At first, he was super confused because he could not understand any of the words that were coming out of his mother's mouth. But just like any other baby, the more he listened to them talk, he just naturally picked up on the language. And now, at the age of 5 years old, he can finally be admitted to the Pokemon academy. Now you might be wondering, "Author, how come you are only mentioning his mother? Where is his dad? Don't tell us he's dad-less like Ash." Well my dear readers, you will just have to wait and find out.

"Good morning class! I will be your homeroom teacher. You can call me Professor Uriel. Since this is our first day of class, let us go around the room and introduce ourselves!"

As the class went around the room introducing themselves, a petite little girl stood up as it was her turn. The girl had platinum-blonde hair that cascaded past her shoulders reaching to her shoulder blades with a cute button nose, sparkling hazel eyes and lips that was both small but extremely soft looking. "H-Hi, everyone. I-I am Alexandra Clementine. M-My friends call m-me Ally for short. I-I hope to get a-along with e-e-everyone!" exclaimed the shy Ally.

Jax was immediately smitten with the shy but adorable little girl. Standing up in all of his pre-pubescent glory, he talked in his most charismatic voice with a charming smile on his lips. "Sup, guys. Hello, ladies. I'm Jax. Jax Skyborne. Call me Jax, call me JJ, and some of you lucky ladies can one day call me Yours. wink*"

Jax's introduction got the whole class giggling. The ladies laughed with their small hands covering their mouths. Even the shy Ally was trying her hardest to control her laughter but some of it still got through and immediately all the boys were staring at her with red faces. This just made all of the boys glare at Jax even harder.

"Alright class! Seems like that is everyone. Now, for today's first lesson, we will be going over the different elemental types of pokemons."

As the school hours were finishing up, Jax could not wait to finally get a chance to talk to Ally in private.

"Hey, Ally! Today's class was pretty fun, huh? I think I am still a little bit lost about which type is super effective against which. Do you want to come over to help me learn?"

Obviously, as a competitive trainer in his past life, Jax new all the ins and outs of Pokemon. No way he would not know something so elementary. All of this was just a ploy to get closer to Ally!

"Umm. T-thanks for the i-invitation, Jax, but I already have p-plans with some f-friends today. Maybe n-next time?"

Seeing Ally try her hardest to talk to him, Jax could not help but grin from ear to ear even if he was just rejected.

"Mhm! No problem. And like I said, you can just call me JJ. wink*"

Back at his house, Jax spent his time doing physical training. A strong trainer is not just about having strong pokemon, although that helps. A strong trainer also has to have a good physique and mind to match his pokemons potential. Knowing all of this, Jax did not slack off on his daily training at all from the moment he was able to crawl.

"Jax, baby, do you want to come with mommy to see her pokemons? Since it was your first day of class, I think you are big of now for me to introduce them to you."

Finally! The chance has FINALLY come! To see why this was such a big deal for Jax, we will have to rewind to his past five years. From the moment he was first transmigrated to this world, Jax has yet to see a single pokemon with his own eyes let alone touch one! That's right, not a SINGLE one. At one point, Jax was even starting to doubt if this was even a pokemon world he was reincarnated into.

"Yes, mommy! I would love to come with you to see your pokemon!"

Going out back to the garden, Jax was finally able to see his first pokemon with his very own eyes.

And it did not disappoint!

"Jax, this is my starter and lifelong partner, Arcanine!"

"Whoa! Amazing!" Just as Jax reached out and touched Arcanine, "Congratulations to the host for unlocking his super amazing, super awesome, super-duper cool system."

"Huh? What? I HAD ONE THIS WHOLE TIME? I love you Kami-sama! I knew you did not abandon me! Now what does this system have to offer?"

"System has detected host has come into contact with Arcanine. Initializing...Updating...Pulling up Arcanine's stats."

Arcanine (M):

HP: ★★★☆☆

ATK: ★★★★☆

Def: ★★☆☆☆

SP ATK: ★★★☆☆

SP Def: ★★☆☆☆

SPD: ★★★★☆

Grade: Shallow Platinum (LVL 75)

Ability: Flash Fire

Nature: Jolly

Moves:

Max: Agility, Bite, Crunch, Ember, Fire Fang

LVL 4: Flame Wheel, Aerial Ace, Protect, Sunny Day, Substitute

LVL 3: Swift, Dig, Body Slam, Play Rough, Howl, Roar, Flamethrower

LVL 2: Hyper Beam, Solar Beam, Tera Blast, Fire Blast, Reversal, Wild Charge

"Wow! Mommy! Your Arcanine is soooo strong!"

"Hehe. I'm glad you can tell right away. I put a lot of effort to raise him up from a Growlithe. Come on, let us take a look at mommy's other pokemons too!"

After walking throughout the whole garden, Jax was able to test out his system on the other pokemons as well. While none of them was as strong as the Arcanine, some of them were pretty decent. Especially, the Butterfree, Fearow, and Graveler. While their grade was about the same as Arcanine, they were a few levels lower and they did not have as many moves at the MAX rank as Arcanine did. This just shows how much effort Jax's mom put into raising the Arcanine from the day she first got him.

"Okay, big boy. I think that's enough pokemon seeing for one day. Tell everyone bye-bye. We can come see them tomorrow when mommy has to feed them, okay?"

"Awww. Can't we just stay for 5-no 10 more minutes mommy? Please~?" for even more emphasis, Jax did his best combo attack, puppy dog eyes with slightly pouting lips for extra measure.

"Ugh, I can't ever beat you. Sigh, okay fine. Just 10 more minutes and then we have to get you to bed."

"Yay! Thanks, mommy! You're the bestest!"
