EPISODE 191: Stiffening a Heart with Ice and Snow!

"Sir, are you sure this is the place where you lost your Crobat?" Glade trembled with fear while walking pass through a dark and hollow alley. Brick walls were painted with fine artistry, a mixture of crimson letters, and bubble paintings. Everything seemed silent and tight-lipped, and the air was filled with heat coming from exhaust fans.

"Boy, I really appreciate the help, but... you're coming with me!" The old man grabbed Glade's hands. Glade tried to pull his hand away from the man but another guard came and helped the old man.

"What the!? Chaos grunts pretending to be guards? Wait till the department hears about this!" Glade mocked while struggling to remove himself.

"Foolish child! How dare you fight against our wrath! The land belongs to us. We have the upper hand, surrender now or prepare to fight!" The two grunts warned while holding their Pokeballs in their hands.

"I will never surrender to your filthy hands! I'll keep on fighting-"

"Stubborn child. You do not know what you're dealing with." A woman leaped down from one of the walls. Her dagger caused a pierced and scratched through the walls while slowly descending to the ground. She wears a white tuxedo, and her hands are covered with black gloves. A masquerade mask kept her identity and face a secret, but this woman's purpose in the alley isn't to hide, but to capture. She blocked the other side of the alley while pointing her dagger at Glade.

"Stubborn child. Do not mess with the Mafia nor the regime. Only demise will be the results of your actions." The woman warned.

"It can't be!? Two evil organizations working together..." Glade couldn't believe his eyes. His body shivered with fear while his heart pounded loudly.

"Don't worry, you'll join your friend in heaven. We can't let you live, you've seen too much!

Once your friend is done with his battle, his fate will be sealed. My duty as the admin of the Masked Revelations is to seal yours!

Let me introduce myself! I am Violet, the second admin of the Masked Revelations. I shall pierce your heart as proof to the boss." Violet introduced with a malicious scowl. She ran towards Glade with the dagger pointed at him. Two Chaos grunts blocked the other side to prevent Glade from escaping.

"Quick, Blastoise use Hydro Cannon!" Hemera arrived just in time. Her Blastoise knocked out the two grunts blocking Glade's left path.

"Hemera, Camellia! You're here."Glade beamed with relief. Violet halted and looked at Hemera and the original daughter.

"I knew I couldn't trust that spy!" Violet infuriated while looking at her watch.

"Leave the boy alone, you do not know who you're dealing with. The regime will always be higher than the mafia." Hemera infuriated back while blocking and protecting Glade and Camellia.

"Anyways... At least my diversion worked. You're too late, the boy is almost done with his gym battle, making it to the other side of the city is a figment of your mere imaginations!" Violet giggled maliciously. She threw a smoke grenade and left the scene without any traces.

"Looks like father was working behind mother's back against. Mother wouldn't allow my father to create a clone of me.

We have to reach the city before Kalem's gym challenge ends!" Camellia beamed with worry and nuisance.

"We have to hurry, Lunar is trying to stall the boy. Through the battle, Kalem's Pokemons are weakened and probably some of them have fainted as well, thus, the boy no longer has Pokemons to defend himself against Lunar's solo mission." Hemera feared while thinking of a plan against the schemes of both organizations.

"Let the last battle commence! Lucario, vs Abomasnow, battle begin." Vermont proclaimed.

"Abomasnow, shred them with the power of winter's gale! Grant me the power to harness snow and sleets, together, we shall bring terror to the eyes of our foes! Mega Evolve!" Emerald chanted.

The sprouts on its back grow into great shafts of ice when this Pokémon Mega Evolves into Mega Abomasnow. Its fur becomes longer and shaggy over its entire body, particularly around its head. Green fur or sprout remnants surround the base of the large icicles on its back, while white fur covers the middle.

"Lucario, we shall stand in unity! One mind, one soul, let our auras collide! Let the mind and spirit of our foes succumb to our auras. Each of us holds the key, to the power of one... Lucario, Mega Evolve!" I chanted. Lucario was able to mega evolve, but the power of one hasn't answered our plead. The connection between me and Lucario hasn't been pushed to its limits yet.

"We care not if your Lucario mega evolves! Abomasnow, use Avalanche right now!"

*A large stone covered with ice crashed down and collided with Lucario. By Emerald's surprise, Lucario didn't flinch. The stone barely damaged my buddy, only one scar formed on Lucario's face.*

"What!? Abomasnow, use Ice Punch!"

*The attack blasted Lucario back. He still stood up with ease, and not even a single scratch formed except for the scar on his face.*

"Impossible, how could Lucario achieve such defense stat? Abomasnow, end Lucario with Ice Punch! Keep on doing it until Lucario faints." Emerald commanded with frustration.

<Abo! Abomasnow!>Abomasnow did multiple ice punch attacks. All of them dealt with minimal to no damage at all. Abomasnow's energy declined rapidly and gave up with the attack.

"All that, for just a scar? Lucario, use Aura Blitz!"

<Lucario>The typical size of the sphere collided against Abomasnow's thick fur and body. I was starting to wonder why me and Lucario weren't transforming.

"Lucario, follow up with force palm!"

<Lucar! Lucar! Lucar!>Abomasnow's giant weight made it more difficult for him to move and dodge. Lucario's force palm dreaded the foe.

"Abomasnow, use your temporary move! Twilight Frost, right now!"

<Abomasnow!>Huge black Ice shards emerged from the ground. Twilight Frost deals damage depending on the damage done to the user. The higher the damage done to the user, the higher the result of the attack.

<Lucario! Lucar!>Lucario's feet and legs were gravely damaged by the attack. Abomasnow was finally able to even out the battle.

"Abomasnow, let's finish this, use Ice Punch!"

"Lucario, dodge then use Aura Blitz!"

<Luc! Lucar!>Lucario swiftly stood up and dodged Abomasnow's Ice Punch. He went behind the foe and unleashed the Aura Blitz attack.

"Abomasnow, blizzard on the trainer! Full power." Emerald instructed.

<Abomasnow! Abomasnow!>He was able to unleash the move on me before Lucario's Aura Blitz finished off the foe. Things were going to fast, my body couldn't react and dodge quickly.

My skin turned pale and frigid. A cold sensation filled my body as I slowly turn to ice. My senses started to weaken while my heartbeat gradually decreased. Camellia smiled maliciously and mocked my frozen body.

"Kalem! Kalem!" Lucario rushed to me while trying to chip off the ice. He tried his best to thaw my body while Vermont, Emerald, and the clone laughed with success.

"Why did you do this!?" Lucario glared at the gym leader while talking telepathically. Vengeance boiled in his blood, while tears drenched out of his eyes. My mind was still functioning at that time... I shouldn't have chosen Camellia to watch me. Glade could've thawed my body if he was here, that's when I realized what Mewtwo told me. "Trust no one."

"Prepare the helicopter, our mission is a success, no interruptions, and no distractions," Emerald instructed while slowly removing her mask. She revealed her face to me and Lucario, it was Lunar, the ice commander of the regime.

"Leave my trainer alone! Camellia, you have to help me, you're Kalem's best friend right?" Lucario begged.

"Come out Beartic! Use Blizzard on Lucario!" Vermont tossed the Pokeball to the sky.

Beartic is an ursine, quadruped Pokémon capable of standing on its hind legs. It has bluish-white fur with a shaggy tuft at its rear. Three spikes of ice hang from its lower jaw, forming a beard. Its face consists of a long snout, beady black eyes, and rounded ears. Its large forepaws have black claws and paw pads. Beartic is capable of freezing its own breath, and will create pathways across the water using this technique. It inhabits northern areas where it catches prey in the cold waters.

Lucario's body froze as well while trying to block the attack from reaching me. I couldn't bear to watch my Pokemon slowly freeze to death like what I'm experiencing right now. He froze, trying to protect me even if I was frozen already.

"Don't worry Lucario. I know how it feels to be frozen in ice. I've been a victim of it when I was young by bullies and their Pokemons alike. Yes, I know how it feels, it hurts doesn't it? Let the pain succumb to you and your trainer, it won't last forever.

In the end, you won't feel anything anymore, except for joy, and bliss in the sky. May Arceus let you pass through the gates of his abode. Oh wait? Arceus won't be God anymore, Arville will." Lunar confronted Lucario and whispered softly.

"And as for the trainer... I'm sorry, but you'll have to perish without becoming a Pokemon Master. I know you're still young, but if I were you? I would rather die young than to face your upcoming adversities.

Yes, grave adversities are yet to come in your future. The world is cruel, and my God will teach avenge me and everyone who has been bullied, strayed, and betrayed. Be glad I ended all of them, but in return, I need what's in your mind.

If only you weren't a foolish boy. If only you joined the regime. you could've become a commander, or better yet, the new king of the regime." Lunar whispered with a dramatic voice on my frozen ears.

My heartbeat continued to decline... My sight slowly withered, and my mind gradually faded away.

Suddenly, the doors of the battlefield burst as the real Camellia, Glade, and Hemera entered. The guards who were supposed to protect the door failed to do so. They broke down the doors with the use of their Pokemon's power except for Camellia's Pokemons. Even the personnel watching in the CCTV was shocked to see the doors burst open. He was able to call the guards but they lost to Hemera and Glade.

"Lunar, thaw Kalem and Lucario! The Pokemon Police Department is on its way." Hemera demanded.
